8 months ago, I undertook 2 of the biggest projects I've ever done related to my voice over interests. Today, one of them is just about done. Took a lot of wood, rockwool & time, but now I've gone from a cramped closet to a self made, standing, fucntioning vocal booth! ✌️😀

Been seeing so many mutuals sign up for a roster by VoiceBox Talents. I looked into it myself and something about this company doesn't seem right. Their website is riddled with AI images and their audio samples sound very AI to me as well. (1/2) #voiceactor #voiceover

Voice actors, based on some of the casting calls I have been seeing lately, I would like to share a quick list of green and red flags to help people out. Red Flags: 🔴A casting director requiring you to join a Discord server just to be considered for a role. 🔴 Vague language around being paid. 🔴Vague language on whether or not you were shortlisted. Green flags: 🟢 A proper email or submission address that feels professional. 🟢 A Google Doc or brief that clearly explains the project and how to submit. 🟢 Clear audition lines with character backstory, direction, and stated payment or usage. 🟢 A clear audition deadline, plus transparency about whether unsuccessful applicants will hear back. Stay strong out there, fellow voice actors 💖
