AI will hurt BTC and proliferate ETH demand for compute going up only is direct hinderence to PoW consesus ans security, PoS can now shine as far superior AI will need and use smart contracts for execution my wildcard is also AI will need and use censorship resistant value and finance (only available on ethereum) and that in the future there will be agents that hold ETH and even use things like tornado cash Quantum computing on top of this with ETH being the first mover for quantum resistance we are about to enter into a completely new era of crypto that nobody is ready for ETH dominance

There are ways to avoid them if you’re not in an absolute hurry. Sometimes it only makes a few minute difference. Just try setting Google Maps to avoid tolls. Most of the time, all you have to do is get off an exit, drive a few blocks on the frontage roads and then get back on the highway.

Toll usage is wild in Austin 😂 Downtown rent: $4-6k/mo Suburbs (where I actually want to live): half that… but $400-600/mo in tolls for me & my fiancée I know the smart financial play, but damn I hate paying tolls this much 🤣

The faster technology moves, the more I think about Bezos' question What won't change in the next 10 years? Things I've been writing down over time: - Humans will always need shelter, food, energy, and healthcare. - The desire for ownership and the accumulation of wealth. - The physical world will move more slowly than the digital one. - Every increase in technological capability, especially AI, will require more energy. - People and businesses will continue to need access to capital. - Capital will continue to seek returns that exceed inflation. - Underwriting methods evolve, but demand for credit (loans) is persistent. - Trust remains scarce and becomes increasingly valuable as content, code, and fraud become cheaper. - Verified identities and reputation becomes more important as information becomes abundant and synthetic. - Long-term wealth creation and dynastic (multi-generational) thinking predate modern technology, and will persist. - Coordination and transaction costs never fully disappear; market friction will continue to justify the existence of firms and intermediaries. - People will continue to compete for status. - Consumers will pay a premium for products and services that confer status. - Time remains fixed at 24 hours per day. - But attention is a finite resource and an enduring constraint. - Products that credibly save time (or enable delegation) have a perpetual market. - Inaccessible, proprietary data will be a persistent moat. The more inaccessible and difficult to aggregate, the deeper the moat. - People want accountability, recourse, and clearly identifiable responsibility when things go wrong. - Regulation consistently lags technological innovation. - Compliance requirements, licensing, and regulatory moats persist even when machines can perform the underlying task. - Local knowledge remains valuable and difficult to replicate. - Heterogeneous markets (like real estate) continue to reward people with deep contextual understanding. - Incumbent organizations tend to underinvest in disrupting their own businesses, which always creates opportunities for challengers. Bezos' insight on what wouldn't change in 10 years was "Customers will always want lower prices and faster delivery." It's boring/ true, but I think that's the point. Everything we build today can and will be rebuilt more cheaply, faster by someone else. Build on the invariants, not the trends. What have I missed?

🚨 LATEST: JPMORGAN SAYS BITCOIN'S BIGGEST RISK ISN'T STRATEGY, IT'S PRIVATE BLOCKCHAINS JPMorgan says the biggest risk to Bitcoin is not Strategy's massive holdings but private permissioned blockchains like its own Kinexys platform, which has already processed $4 TRILLION outside public networks. The bank argues if institutions adopt blockchain entirely through private systems they control, the technology wins but Bitcoin may not come along for the ride.

Grant Cardone says buying a house with all cash is ridiculous. His move? If you handed him a $700,000 house, he would sell it for 600 that same day, take the 600, and buy 2.4 million dollars in real estate that pays itself off over 30 years. Lot of numbers. But let's get clear on the original offer. The offer was $700,000 to buy a house. Selling it for 600 the same day is a $100,000 loss for no reason. Here is what I would do instead. Buy the house for 700. Then put debt on it, maybe 500 grand through a cash-out refinance, which is tax-free. Now I still own the house. I throw a renter in it. I pulled 500 grand out tax-free. And I use that to lever up and do it again, and again, and again. Same game he is playing. I just keep the house and skip the 100 thousand dollar loss. He has a lot of good points here. The first move was just a little off.

reason people feel this way is because AI stocks already did 17x in 2-3 years... BTC hit $50-60k in 2021 and has only done 2x from that all-time high, returning to that spot now, so it would feels more like 20x in 11-12 years, which is great, but people expect a lot more even though it did an 8x from the bottom of the last bear market 🤷‍♂️

Buying Bitcoin today is front running the forced diversification of a completely AI saturated equity market. With not one, not two, but three massive inclusion of 5 Trillion dollars of equity value into the index, diversification requires venturing out on the risk curve.

DeFi Monk explains why Hyperliquid shouldn’t be valued using FDV “Right now we think it should probably be somewhere in between, if not closer to circulating” “That’s a massive shift in the story if all of a sudden Hyperliquid is not worth like $60B. I’ve had a background in equities before and there is no such thing as an FDV for the average stock” “No one ever sits down and goes what is the maximum amount of shares Nvidia could ever issue over the entire history of the stock. I think now that we’re introducing HYPE to this more traditional investor, we kind of need to speak on their terms” “The reality is the 40% or so of supply allocated for future incentives, I just don’t think that makes sense to be including in any sort of real market cap discussion” “One, we have no idea when and if that supply will ever come online and two, if it does, I think there’s a real chance Jeff and the team decide to use it in an accretive way where let’s say a dollar worth of HYPE incentives generates a dollar or more of HYPE buybacks” “So what is inflation really? It’s probably just staking rewards and team unlocks. That’s basically what investors should be focusing on”

@MTSlive @JordanSchachtel I expressed much the same view in this linked post. UBI would be immoral if implemented now. When AI and robots take all jobs, it will be immoral not to give UHI (which I was proposing to call UEI in this post) because there will be no work. x.com/davidpatterson…
David Scott Patterson@davidpattersonx

Universal Equal Income (UEI) A Universal Basic Income (UBI) will never happen. It has always been an impractical idea due to its enormous cost. You cannot offer unconditional government income while people are still working and paying taxes. Those receiving the money would be free-riding on the backs of the workers. Taking government support unnecessarily is doubly immoral. It both burdens the taxpayers who fund the system and diverts resources from people who genuinely need help. Unconditional income replacement becomes realistic only when AI and robots take over all human labor. At the current accelerating pace of AI development, this is likely to happen by 2030. This future income will not be a basic income. It will match the average of the wages and salaries lost to automation. In today’s terms, it will be roughly equal to the current average income. That’s why I propose calling it Universal Equal Income (UEI). The income will be: - Universal (unconditional and available to everyone) - Equal (the same amount for all, not low or high) The name UEI also closely resembles UBI, making the distinction easier to grasp. By 2028, AI and robotics will be displacing jobs faster than new ones can be created. That is when governments will need to begin UEI payments. Do not expect governments to discuss UEI ahead of time. They will likely avoid the topic because they don’t want people relying on welfare too soon. In the short term, those who are unemployed should continue seeking other employment. UEI will be funded by a sales tax. This tax will effectively recover the money companies used to spend on wages and salaries. The collected funds will then be distributed equally: first to the unemployed, and eventually to all adults. As AI and robots increase productivity, both the quantity and quality of goods and services will dramatically increase. This will cause prices to fall significantly, increasing the real purchasing power of UEI. For this reason, some people refer to the payments as Universal High Income (UHI). However, I prefer the term UEI because calling it a high income implies that it may be higher than other incomes. UEI is neither basic nor high. It is equal. And many people naturally love the ideal of equality.

SITUATION EXPLAINED: is Universal Basic Income necessary? .@JordanSchachtel: "The history of technological progress has shown us one thing: quality of life, employment, and every metric that contributes to human flourishing improves." "Things might change, but preemptive UBI is insane. This is a multi-trillion dollar social welfare project, and we don't even know for certain there's a problem that it needs to solve." "The history is indicative of what happens. In the early 1900s, 50% of Americans worked in agriculture. 30, 40 years later, people were doing dramatically different things." "They were employed in jobs that required less labor, but took home more effective pay and had better lives." "We can't predict what happens (similar to the internet era, etc). But regardless, the answer is never to institute a giant multi-trillion dollar government program."
