So excited to share my first PhD-project with my supervisor @mareikegrotheer and @KularHolly @kalatwt & Julia Jorgensen.🥳 Our MRI-study investigated responses in OTS-words (VWFA) when reading words in text & emoji format: biorxiv.org/content/10.110… More infos in this thread 🧵

This, and more in the preprint "Characterizing the shared signals of face familiarity: long-term acquaintance, voluntary control, and concealed knowledge" A big thank you for everyone involved!

6/7 On a methodological note, we also think that multivariate cross-classification across datasets is a promising tool to track the representational dynamics across different conditions, contexts and task demands. See our previous paper here: doi.org/10.1093/cercor…

New preprint by @GGAmbrus, @WieseHolger, @gkovacs1965 and me! In it, we used cross-experiment #MVPA to track representational dynamics across different task demands @AcademicEEG #FacePerception #EEG

very happy about our new paper with Chenglin Li, Mike Burton and Geza Ambrus. @GGAmbrus @mikeburton47 @JenaBpcn sciencedirect.com/science/articl…

Today i am attending #DPiNMR - Developing Perspectives in Neuroscience Marburg - an event in Marburg to connect with other young neuroscientists! Looking forward to meet new scientists from my field in my city 👋🧠

Presenting my recent work supervised by @mareikegrotheer at #OHBM22 😊 The Visual Word Form Area (OTS-words) is crucial for reading - but is it only sensitive to text or to any other kind of "readable" stimuli? It's MT1012, so come around at 13:15 -14:15 to have a chat!

I am attending my first OHBM conference! #OHBM2022 I am really looking forward to the next days, meeting new people and getting inspired by the work of scientists from all over the world!

While the amount of semantic information has been shown to increase the magnitude of familiarity effects in EEG, here we provided evidence that it is not essential for the emergence of this shared familiarity signal.
Check out the preprint here! biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

New preprint by Géza Gergely Ambrus (@GGAmbrus), Gyula Kovács (@gkovacs1965) and me! 🥳In it, we explore if semantic information is necessary for shared face-familiarity signals to emerge. Feedback is welcome! 🧵 @AcademicEEG #FacePerception #EEG #MVPA #MachineLearning
