That was a cataclysm. Electoral map wipeout. Senate D practical ceiling is now 52 seats. R's is 62. Time to rebuild the left. We are out of touch with the crisis of meaning/purpose fueling MAGA. We refuse to pick big fights. Our tent is too small. 1/ Some early thoughts:

First off, eliminating the DOE does not mean that everything it was doing or funding goes away. Second, your State and Local Governments are responsible for funding education. Talk to them and your school board. You may find that the situation may actually improve when you get Washington out of it.

Okay so now it’s Kamala. I think—AGAIN—every white person who wanted him to drop out needs to figure out how to defend a Black woman in person and online for the first time in their lives. That’s the job now. I’d like to see it, but I never have.

It will never change because it states in the constitution that the states will control elections and they like the power

It's that time every 4 years when Australians are again mystified why the so-called biggest democracy of the world still can't organise basic democratic processes. Voting in Australia is as simple as walk in, vote, walk out.

@churchofeve @Stephen___Burns It's not 'voter fraud' because by the magic of digital communication, our interstate absentee votes count in our home state, not in whichever location we voted. I'm a little surprised to hear the US doesn't have a mechanism for this yet.

Disney Parks should just ban any clothing that endorses a political candidate. It’s weirdly antagonistic at a place where you’re supposed to be getting away from reality. Especially since most of the people who are doing it are doing it specifically to be confrontational.
