This is becoming a state of emergency. In Bristol, a girl just walking home from school ends the day with brain damage caused by the rock a Somali migrant smashed on her head while he repeatedly raped her. Politicians must take this seriously and act

@mishtal @BHPanimalwatch Yeah, King David was originally from Chiswick, and he went out with that bird, Bathsheba, after meeting her on a Pontkins caravan holiday in Suffolk.

For almost 2000 years, "Palestine" was simply a European Christian term for the "Holy Land" or "Land of Israel" That is why the British chose "Palestine" as the name of the mandate "Palestine" is a foreign, colonial label. The idea it has local historical roots is just stupid

I hereby proudly present the most autistic thing I've ever built yet. Unmatched in it's uselessnes but yet SO cool. You wouldn't understand LOL I'm presenting a full-blown Teletext engine. This puppy can read and write .t42 broadcast binary files and you can use it to look at archived teletext pages or create your own. As a demo I have "teletext-ified" my website. For those who don't know what this is, Teletext was a format that allowed text content to be broadcasted along with a TV channel. Any TV with a teletext decoder could view it. You could use it to look up weather, news and many other things. VERY popular in Europe. It actually still is in the Netherlands (where I'm from). It was also huge in the United Kingdom. Anyway without further ado, the link is below! This entire project is open source and available on Github. Enjoy!

@ClimateWarrior7 Good. She never really believed there was a cis heteronormative neocolonialist patriarchal imperialist white supremacist capitalist hegemony enforcing systemic binary oppression on marginalized identities through intersectional power structures anyway.

No. I have just dumped my wife because she was clearly not genuinely attracted to me and will now be taking steroids and hitting my face with a hammer so I can become genuinely attractive. I haven't actually told her yet. She's going to go ballistic.

In real life, no one talks about other people in terms of numeric value. No one asks the people they are dating or sleeping with what their “body count” is. Most women are not gold digging whores who only seek to date rich men who look like the college quarterback. All women on social media are not prostitutes and no one is reading a book called Morning Glory Milking Farm. The boys and young men who follow streamers like those featured in @louistheroux's documentary about the "manosphere," though, wouldn’t know that. Because they don’t go out into the real world. They don’t know any real women. They don’t have partners. I don’t even know if they have any male friends in real life. They grew up online, mainlining porn and clips from men calling themselves “HStikkytokky.” These streamers surround themselves with pornstars, convincing their followers that this is a sign of success, while simultaneously telling their young fans that these women deserve no respect on account of their “high body count” and whoredom. They insist money and a collection of very stupid women with very low self-esteem are the primary things that make men real men instead of soyboys. (That, and having big muscles and very tight pants.) The HStikkytokkys and Justin Wallers and Myron Gaines’ of the world, though, don’t actually seem very manly to me. They seem like gay little boys obsessed with their appearances. They have no useful skills to offer, like hunting or fishing or wood chopping or house building. They have nothing useful to offer at all, in fact. They apparently spend all their time online, live streaming for other little boys who also have nothing of value to offer the world. To be clear, this is not a dig at men and boys on the whole. Nor is the documentary. This is purely a dig at the the soulless grifters who saw there was a group of vulnerable, unhappy, naive boys ripe for the picking—with no real world knowledge or wisdom to prevent them from believing any lie sent their way. These boys clearly are lacking in good male role models and real world relationships that could offer a healthy, normal vision of either women or men. They are also online all day and night—the perfect targets for this messaging. It is sad, really, more than it is scary.

Wilberforce got the statue. This man got the mud. Thirty-five thousand miles of it. His name was Thomas Clarkson. Born in England. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Cambridgeshire. 1760. He was twenty-four years old when Cambridge set him an essay question. "Is it lawful to make slaves of others against their will?" He knew nothing about slavery. So he started reading. Two months later he couldn't stop. He won the prize and rode home to London with something nobody had given him. A conscience he couldn't put down. Halfway there, on a quiet country road, he stopped his horse. Sat in the silence of the English countryside. The trade was real. He had just proved it. And somebody had to stop it. So he gave up the church and got to work. Bristol. Liverpool. Every slave port in Britain. Into the taverns, the back rooms, the ships. Asking sailors what they had seen below decks. Men who had been there. Who knew what happened on the Middle Passage. Some refused. Some were threatened. Some were bought. Clarkson kept riding. Thirty-five thousand miles. Ten years. Every testimony written down in longhand on the road. All of it handed to a young MP named William Wilberforce. Wilberforce went to Parliament and gave the speeches. Clarkson saddled up and went back out. In 1792 they put a petition together. Not from London. Not from the powerful. From ordinary men and women. Market towns, village squares, chapel steps across England. Four hundred thousand signatures. The largest petition in British parliamentary history. Parliament voted it down. So they went again. And again. Eighteen years of going again. 25 March 1807. The Slave Trade Act passed. Britain outlawed the trade and turned the Royal Navy loose to hunt the ships. History gave Wilberforce the statue. Coleridge called Clarkson the moral steam engine of the abolition movement. Clarkson lived to see slavery abolished completely in 1833. An old man of seventy-three, who had started this at twenty-four. He died in 1846. The last surviving founder of the original committee. He never held office. Never gave the famous speeches. He just got back on the horse. For sixty years. Did they teach you his name? Together we keep our history alive. proudofus.co.uk/support Be part of us. Be Proud Of Us. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇬🇧

@ClimateWarrior7 Exactly. I was on a boat fishing other week. How many “rape gangs” were there? None! Money laundering Turkish barbers? Zero! I mean yes I was slightly stabbed when I got back to my car, but that wasn’t his fault he was from a different culture. They don’t know any better.

This guy complaining about AI using other people's work is using a PFP literally of another person's photograph. That he didn't take himself. Lol
DESTRO@DESTROPOCALYPSE

@ImKingGinger A true creative individual would never use it because none of that shit is their work. The hallmark of a creative person is that they want to make their own, not outsource the shit to ai.

This is what "bully harder" turns into. Journalists and creators tell people it's okay to mock anyone who likes DLSS 5. The audience runs with it. Now Digital Foundry is getting death threats for covering a graphics feature. Death threats....Over upscaling?? The anti AI crowd has become insane.
TheGameVerse@TheGameVerse

🚨 Digital Foundry’s Richard Leadbetter says the team received death threats over their DLSS 5 coverage “We’ve received death threats… this is completely unacceptable. No one should face threats for doing their job or sharing tech.”

London is always being lost and re-found. Every generation harms the city that came before. The Edwardians replaced much of central London with cliffs of classically ornate Portland stone. Few complained. Shock, for example, was muted when this turned into...

Used Magnific's Video Upscaler for the first time on a client project and I'm blown away. Here's a quick comparison using one of the preview videos. I can't show more for obvious reasons, so this is 500% zoom. Keep that in mind. Original: 720p Kling 3.0 Omni generation at 24 fps. Upscaled with @Magnific_AI in Freepik to 2K with fps boosted to 48 fps. @javilopen cooked hard again. Can't wait to test the precision video upscaler when it comes out.

🧵 1/14: Just days after Paul Ehrlich (the man whose 1968 book “The Population Bomb” predicted billions would starve) passed away, it’s the perfect moment to celebrate the scientist who proved Ehrlich and other doomsayers spectacularly wrong. Meet Norman Borlaug, the Iowa farm boy who launched the Green Revolution and quite literally saved a billion lives. This is the ultimate story of human ingenuity triumphing over scarcity.

1. There's no argument, only a childish personal attack. 2. Like you say, it shows their disgusting attitude problem towards Albertans. 3. It looks nothing like you because the creator isn't clever enough to know how to use a simple character reference when generating or editing an image. Even a child can do that. His bio says he "Mocks idiots and douchebags", reflecting the immature teenage snark one would expect.
