@amandanat A *big* yes. Every time I write about this, I get pushback.
If feedback is such a gift, how come so few people are asking for it? That said, it could become one, if given correctly (and no, I don't just mean having good intentions. I mean communicating it correctly)

@LisaDNews @ratemyskyperoom @NewsHour RIP Rocky. Every time he showed up during those Covid days, he brought an instant smile. Sending you good thoughts Lisa. (Our dog died last year and it sucked. It still does. But I've learned the love doesn't go away, it only gets deeper with time) Be well
English

Rest in Peace Rocky Desjardins.
Today our beloved cat, a superstar + @ratemyskyperoom legend, passed away from kidney disease.
We know @NewsHour viewers loved him too. That means the world.
For those interested, something in his memory:

@jayclouse I've always found you to be a trustworthy person. (We've never met besides a random email/twitter exchange). 2 reasons come to mind. 1) Your curiosity — The way you ask questions tells me you care and 2) You're always sharing what you're learning. Not to brag but to serve.
English

I GREATLY NEED YOUR HELP !
I announced last week that I have a new book coming out next year.
My publisher has narrowed down its title to about 8 options. They've asked me to ask my friends who know my work to weigh in on which title resonates most with them.
Would you like to take the poll?
Please DM me here & I'll send you the link!
Thank you!

@AdmiredLeaders @DukeWBB @karalawson20 @oliverburkeman I'm glad this popped up in my timeline... "Handle hard well". What a great line!.
English

Wisdom from @DukeWBB Coach @karalawson20 reminding her team about a truth we also heard from @oliverburkeman in last year's community conference.
Don't wait for life to get easy.

@CoreyWilksPsyD I'm always there my dude.
Let me know how I can support you...
English

@AdmiredLeaders You guys are the best. Thank you for sharing my work...

Simple framework from @Ali_Merchant's newsletter this morning.
If your team is missing deadlines, consider taking a look at how you are communicating them.

@gaganbiyani This stat is wild "2.6M teachers resigned from the public school system"
English

@perfexcellent All leadership has nuance.
There's absolutely a place to tell and a place to ask. Heck, I can also give you reasons to "micromanage".
At the risk of a cliche, there's no one-size fits all.
English

@jayclouse @IamAndrewEllis This is like a very engaging movie trailer. You come across clear, the music is appropriate (not intrusive) and it leaves the person wanting more.
Very cool.
English

I worked with @IamAndrewEllis to produce a trailer for Build A Beloved Membership, my most popular course.
What do you think?
English

@AdmiredLeaders @jayclouse No idea... i just want it to stop :)
I *think* there are tools that will auto-generate a comment..
English

@Ali_Merchant @jayclouse Do you think most people who are doing that have an automated way to both generate and post a reply? Or is the majority of it someone who is posting manually, but using AI to come up with the comment?
English

@gaganbiyani Hi.
The same person who loves video for one thing, might like to read something else for another thing.
Learning seems contextual based on subject, complexity, passion etc.
(fwiw, spent two decades building L&D functions from small to bigco)
English

The idea of "learning styles" is ridiculous. In fact, learning can't always be personal - instead it should be multimodal.
The best learners I know don't say: "I'm an auditory learner" and eschew all written or video-based learning methods. They don't say "I'm a kinesthetic learner" and expect to learn to code by playing with wooden blocks.
Instead, they learn by many, many different methods. They read, they write, they teach, they practice, they get coaching, they take cohort-based courses, they watch videos on YouTube. The modes change based on what you are learning, your mood, and what is available.
We all have biases towards certain types of learning methods. But limiting yourself by tying your learning identity to just one or two types is a fast way to reducing the breadth and depth of your learning universe.
English

@jayclouse Thx for sharing Jay.
As someone who genuinely admires your work, it's helpful to see these lessons. Thank you for sharing.
(PS: When I read this and see how well you do, it makes me want to root for you *even* more...)
