@bunsenbernerbmd I’d rather Bunsen healthy but away from my screen than the other choice. We love Bunsen very much and it’s lovely to see that his well being is prioritised over social media. Gentle hugs to the big guy, so thrilled he’s on the mend. ❤️‍🩹

In November of last year we noticed that Bunsen had a weird gait which got progressively worse.   Eventually in late December he was slipping and falling daily. Over these two months we took him to the vet and they went through the usual culprits of arthritis and then sadly a neurological issue. Nothing fit and through referrals in January, Bunsen had a MRI. In February he was diagnosed as having a slipped disc (bulging disc) in his neck.   The suggestion was to try 6-8  weeks of STRICT rest and then gradually increase what he can do. This is why Bunsen has all but disappeared off social media.   In the beginning we were just so heartbroken over how he was moving and it was so distressing to show him tippy tapping around the house only to fall hard.   We also knew something was wrong with him so we obviously didn’t put him to do any social media stuff beyond the advent videos.  We love him so much and it wasn’t fair to him to make him pose or preform - he just rested at home with Ginger. March saw a gradual improvement and then in the last two weeks Bunsen has wanted to run and jump.   We aren’t letting him, but it shows his long recovery is on the right track and he may not need surgery. The twinkle was back in his eyes this week, which have seems so dull and sad lately. As long as he improves you can expect to see more of him in our posts and such.

I think every narrative game should do what AC Shadows did here. Give players agency to be/do/romance however they want, but also have CANON MODE, which tells the story the devs intended. Do you think this kind of thing would solve the Final Fantasy community’s conflicts?

@bunsenbernerbmd Well that’s not a very convincing bit of peer review. So far Bunsen has the greater body of evidence.

Bunsen keeps sending me these videos, I swear youtube needs some regulation.

Even with the “woke” nontroversy nonsense, engaging with the Assassin’s Creed fandom the last week has been a breath of fresh air.

@vvvchi @ProfNoctis It’s so manufactured. The message you get on screen about the diversity of the teams who make these games before you’ve even hit start would make that brigade burst a blood vessel. They’re not even playing it, they’re just seeing videos online and being told to be mad about it.

@ProfNoctis The anti-woke people were the loudest part of the discourse for such a long time that I had forgotten how large of a fanbase AC had. A sleeping giant awakened and everyone rallied around this game. Great to see.
