After applications for the CHOOSE Act ESA closed last night, @GovernorKayIvey announced that more than 36,000 kids across the state - from every grade (entering Kindergarten to 12th grade) - applied for one. As she said, "Alabama families want school choice!"🌞

Congratulations to Sen. @BreanneDavis! Her bill to empower every Arkansas child to access the public school that best suits their needs - SB 624 - passed the Senate Education Committee yesterday. Together with its companion bill in the House, this legislation takes a significant step toward broadening opportunities for all students.

This cannot be right, can it? Perkins Eastman, who oversees Milwaukee Public Schools' building closure plan, says only 14% of MPS students attend their zoned school. I know MPS spends a ton on transportation to serve parents, but I would have thought it was much higher.
