.@UNESCO and the @ALIPHFoundation signed a renewed cooperation agreement to strengthen the protection of cultural heritage threatened by conflicts, disasters, and emerging vulnerabilities, including those linked to climate change and technological developments. I was pleased to share views with @Bariza_Khiari, President of the Foundation Board of ALIPH, on this occasion. Over the past decade, UNESCO has expanded its efforts, linking heritage protection with education and social recovery, including through the Heritage Emergency Fund. H.E. Sheikh Salem bin Khalid Al Qassimi, Minister of Culture, met with Ms. Bariza Khiari, Chair of the ALIPH Foundation board, where they discussed the Foundation’s 10th anniversary. Opportunities to strengthen cooperation were explored in safeguarding cultural heritage.
