The NHS isn't as joined up as you think it is. GPs are not aware of what goes on at the hospital (including where you are on a waiting list) until we receive an email or a letter. There's no universal dashboard for us to check on your behalf to find out what's going on. Sorry.

Alison, why would our AD bill need to vote on removing safeguards for non terminal disabilities if it’s only about terminally ill people? People with diabetes, anorexia, autism, and Down’s syndrome. More MPs have actually indicated if they try to get this bill through in the next session, they will no longer support it. The majority of the public do not support this bill. It is dangerous and opens the back door to allow state sanctioned murder into the UK. How do we know this? Because NO bill meant to purely “help” the terminally ill needs to vote to remove safeguards away for non terminal disabilities. But that’s exactly what they did with this bill in the committee stage.

Read the post and read the attached document, Alison. It’s the same thing that happened in Canada with MAID and the Netherlands. Pushing people society deemed too expensive to choosing AD via homelessness and poverty is state sanctioned murder. They’ve made it clear this isn’t just about terminally ill people.
