If you listened to his last address at the Lagos Business school, you'd understand this point. Nonetheless, let me explain to my capacity. Import restrictions in Nigeria is a major contributor to rise in inflation. Restrictions include longer time in clearing goods...
Ayo Obe@naijama

@PeterObi What will removal of import restrictions do to domestic industries? Would we have local rice production or any domestic dairy industry at all if forex was made freely available to those who import rice and milk?

@Onsogbu Again, using Wike's rate, how much do you think Gov. Otti spent in reconstruction of the 6.7km port harcourt road, including drainages and lighting? I can't go on with you; come to Abia!

I'm From Abia, Sowore Said The Truth, Otti is Doing Nothing Compared to the Money Received - Eke Ako I offer N15m to anyone who can prove Sowore wrong with evidence USE EVIDENCE TO PROVE SOWORE WRONG & WIN N15M Let’s stop the propaganda and deal with hard numbers. You claimed that my good friend, Omoyele Sowore, was wrong in stating that Governor Alex C. Otti has nothing on the ground to justify the noise on social media about a transformed Abia . Fine, then prove it with evidence — not media hype, not press releases, not staged optics, not insults. That makes you look mature. Insults make you look primitive! Here are the FACTS on capital expenditure (amounts spent on developing the state) from Abia State’s own financial reports under Governor Alex C. Otti published on the government's website: 2023: - ₦62.17bn 2024: - ₦215.46bn 2025: - ₦322.02bn TOTAL: ₦600 BILLION Now let’s apply basic logic: ₦600bn = at least 60 major projects at ₦10bn each ₦600bn = ~750km of Trunk B roads at ₦800m/km So where are they? As of today, the government can not point to even 30km of verifiable, newly constructed Trunk B roads in the state. Not projections. Not promises. Actual, completed infrastructure. 💰 WIN ₦15 MILLION — SIMPLE CHALLENGE: Bring evidence and win N5m for each year, not stories: 💰 10 projects completed in 2023 worth ₦6bn each (with photos) 💰 20 projects completed worth ₦10bn each (with proof) 💰 30 projects completed worth ₦10bn each (with proof) 🚨 REALITY CHECK: ₦600 BILLION is not pocket change. ₦600 BILLION should transform a state into a visible construction hub. If you can not see it, verify it, or locate it, then it raises one question: Where did the money go? Stop defending narratives. Start demanding evidence, locations, costs, contractors, and completion dates. Abia does not need cheerleaders. It needs accountability. Strip away the media noise — what is actually on the ground? Omoyele Sowore was right. Governor Alex C. Otti has NOTHING on the ground to justify the funds and the media noise.

@AnfieldWatch No changes will make any difference tbh. The longer the season goes on, the more I don’t blame slot in a way. This squad is shit, fucking diabolical. Not fit for purpose at all. These players are utterly shameful out there, bordering unprofessional.

Tense moment on Piers Morgan Uncensored: "All you want is all the Palestinians gone... you don't care how many die in the process, do you?" Piers Morgan relentlessly grills Daniella Weiss the ‘Godmother’ of the Israeli settler movement over the deaths of thousands of Palestinian children and the vision for the land. Unfiltered. Uncomfortable. Must-watch. What do you think, straight talk or too far? #PiersMorgan #DaniellaWeiss #Israel #Gaza #Settlers

Yesterday defenders of democracy, today's destroyers, What a shame. What an irony of history, that the acclaimed defenders of democracy and human rights who claimed to have fought for democracy during the era of General Sani Abacha now find themselves worse than the man they opposed. Today, General Sani Abacha, once presumed face of oppression, will be remembered as seemingly more democratic and more respectful of human rights than the so-called champions of activism from the NADECO days. Power indeed reveals character. A New Nigeria is POssible. -PO

Hi. Thanks for highlighting the strides Gov. Otti is making in bringing healthcare closer to the populace especially those in rural areas. Primary Health Care is the foundation of health care in any society that seeks development. That’s why ABSG is building, rebuilding and retrofitting all of Abia’s 948 Primary Health Care Centres. 200 has been rebuilt in the first phase, the programme is tagged ‘Project Ekwueme’, search for it online. Abia state got assistance from the world bank who have now helped us retrofit another 77. Another 200 will be getting attention in the next few weeks. The aim is to have at least 3 or more PHCs in every ward in Abia. If you’re in Abia and you take ill, you don’t have to travel long distances to get quality and affordable health care, especially for non-major health issues. Also don’t forget that all PHCs are also being digitized so that patient files, treatment processes are handled digitally. All these are why Gov. Otti and Abia recently won the best performing state in Primary Health Care in South East and were awarded half a million dollars. You can imagine pumping these funds further into the health care system of Abia. In addition to this, ABSG is also rebuilding the Abia College of Health in Aba, expanding and retrofitting the Abia State University Teaching Hospital, Aba (this is where we will be keeping our new MRI recently donated to us by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints). Demolished and rebuilding Amachara General Hospital, Umunneator General Hospital, and a new General hospital in Ohanku, Ukwa East (sure you’ve seen OPM General Overseer, HRM Apostle Chibuzo gushing of over this on his TL here a couple of times now😊), all these in addition to the upcoming Medical City. Remember everything being built comes with reliable power (including renewable energy sources) so that our health care professionals and assistants don’t have to make videos crying about lack of power and water in a hospital. Are you from the South East?

Ongoing construction of a hospital in Enugu by Governor Peter Mbah. Vs Alex Otti built this beautiful, disappointingly impressive, ultra-modern healthcare center. Lol

Can Peace Reign in the land? What have we done wrong that has brought us this level of insecurity? When can peace reign in Plateau, Benue, Niger, Sokoto, Kwara, Kogi and all the other troubled states of our nation, or should we just accept now that security in some parts of Nigeria has become a norm and impossible to handle? Should we just give up and accept defeat and surrender to fear while our people continue to die and our communities are ravaged and destroyed? We cannot let this become the new normal. The violence is not inevitable, and peace is not impossible, it is the failure of leadership that has made it feel otherwise. We must demand action and refuse to accept a Nigeria where some states are abandoned to chaos. Silence is not an option. We must secure our nation before more lives are lost. A New Nigeria is POssible. -PO

Nigeria Bleeds Arriving back from my visit to Kano this evening, I received disturbing news and images from Jos of a painful attack at the Angwa Rukuba area, Jos North, Plateau State. The recurring loss of innocent lives in Plateau State reminds us, yet again, of the insecurity innocent citizens face in our nation without any protection. These continuous devastating headlines are a reminder of a nation that is steadily normalising the loss of its own people. It is unacceptable that these attacks happen with such frequency, and even more unacceptable that there seems to be no decisive, sustained strategy to end them. No nation or leader normalises tragedy. The safety of Nigerian lives must become non-negotiable, we cannot continue to mourn what should have been prevented. Enough is enough. My heart goes out to the families who have lost loved ones. May the souls of the departed rest in peace, and their memories never be forgotten. I pray that we get a country where the loss of lives is no longer a recurring reality. We cannot continue like this. -PO
