Meta today is reporting 10-15% more purchases in our account than actually exist in Shopify And getting +/- 50% conversion rate swings DoD since late March when the change happened, intraday even more volatile Performance is starting to come back though since yesterday Will say that this attribution change is one of the biggest updates they've made in years so of course it's going to be messy for a bit

Generally seeing the “attribution loss” from click to engaged view be about 10% across most clients within Meta. Developing new multipliers for each client still operating on 7DC, however a lot already shifted to IA attribution so those were not impacted. I wish Meta would let us build custom metrics with different attribution windows.

Gas is now above $4 in many parts of the USA. Next comes grocery prices increasing. Restaurant costs going up. That summer vacation cost UP UP. If you're not thinking about this in your DTC brands than I think you need to start. Unless you sell a product people can't live without you're likely going to feel impacts from this. I don't want to be the bearer of bad news, just the reality we're in. In 2022 when gas was this high we still have stimmys from Biden in the market. This is different. I really want to be wrong, I just don't think I am this time.

Larry Ellison $ORCL highlighted something critical: models like ChatGPT, Gemini, Grok, and Llama are all trained on largely the same public internet data. When everyone trains on the same information, models inevitably converge. That’s why AI is moving toward commoditization. The real moat isn’t the model itself. It’s the proprietary data behind it. Companies that can train on exclusive datasets gain an advantage competitors can’t replicate. Having data that no one else has will allow you to dominate your market.
