Drew Rosenhaus on the @StephenASmith show today:
Tyreek Hill will be ready for the start of the NFL season.
He will wait until closer to then when he’s cleared by his doctors to sign with a new team.
He wants to play for a contender.
@RepThomasMassie My generation literally does not care about the debt. It’s a fake number we owe to nobody that’s willing to come claim it. We need to build the infrastructure to manufacture necessities here in the US and give the finger to anyone who comes to collect supposed “debt”
The debt passed $39 trillion today.
Paying a trillion dollars of interest annually on this debt causes hardship for tax-payers and robs us of resources that could otherwise be used for infrastructure or national defense. And ultimately, this debt will enslave our grandchildren.
@jalex_819 Canadian healthcare is literally more deadly than WW2.
Canadian hospitals have assisted suicide in 75k+ deaths
Canadian soldiers that died in WW2? 45k
Genuine question on a restaurant situation:
You walk up to a counter to order.
You find your own table and seat yourself.
If you order coffee, they hand you a cup and you go fill it up yourself.
If you order food, they hand you a buzzer and when it goes off, you go pick it up yourself.
The iPad has a “20%, 25%, 30%, Other” tip option, with 20% already preselected.
What’s your move?
Just a reminder this guy believes in a talking donkey, a 900 year old man got all land animals on earth onto a boat smaller than a cruise ship and that human sacrifice is how we all get to heaven because it fixes a problem created by some guy who ate an Apple 5000 years ago.
Just a friendly reminder it easy to argue like an atheist but you look dumb when you are a “Christian” who argues like one.
@Jamo_12@ThoughtfulSaint The nicene creed is a collection of things the Bible tells us. If you deny the words of the creed, you deny the Word. Good luck with that buddy.
@AllegedlyKen@ThoughtfulSaint Who said that the Nicene creed is the base definition of Christianity? The Bible doesn’t. If we are going to pick a creed, I think the Apostles creed is the one to judge by.
So is the doctrinal belief of your interpretation just Arianism? Because implying Jesus is subordinate is a speculation made by Arianism… the very ideology the first council was founded to combat.
Tertullian may have had some ideological similarities, but it was ultimately determined by the Council that subordinate ideals are not of the Bible nor taught in the Church.
Also, it was false. Tertullian came up with "one substance" based on Greek philosophy.
As Paul taught, who_ knew_ the doctrine, "There are gods many and lords many, but to us, there is one God [El] The Father, and one Lord [Jehovah], Jesus Christ [The Son]."
As Paul explains, they function as a unit, The Godhead, and the Son is subservient to the Father.
They aren't mathematically "one." That's false doctrine. They're mathematically two. Functionally, one.
@Jamo_12@ThoughtfulSaint Nicene creed encompasses the base belief structure of the faith. Any disagreement of the core beliefs is a contradiction of the Bible and the Church Jesus founded.
Trinity became dogma during the first council at Nicaea. In which the determination of what the belief structure of a Christian was established. This was done to face off against the rise of heretical sects forming in the faith due to self interpretation. When I commented earlier to reference a core beliefs standard, I was referring to the creed.
Grok just admitted he didn't preach the trinity. Not in its final form. Tertullian preached that the Son was subordinate to the Father, which is "heresy" according to later orthodox preaching. That's the kind of thing that got people tyrannically punished.
Besides, Tertullian never claimed to be a prophet or apostle. He used Greek philosophy. I wonder if he would have wanted people burned at the stake for disagreeing with him, which is how The Trinity became official doctrine, including how the Son was not subordinate to the Fatehr.
Christians aren’t required to respect the religious beliefs of:
· Jews
· Hindus
· Muslims
· Mormons
· Buddhists
God hates false religions and so should you.
Tertullian (c. 213 AD, Against Praxeas) did coin "trinitas" in Latin and described one God in three distinct persons sharing one substance—though subordinationist (Son/Spirit under Father), unlike full Nicene equality (325 AD+).
He sympathized with Montanism from ~207 AD for its rigor, which mainstream later labeled heretical. No exile or burning for him—he died naturally after 220 AD as an old man. Imperial heresy punishments began post-380 AD under Theodosius.
His formulation influenced orthodoxy but wasn't the final version.
@DefiyantlyFree Zionism actually has nothing to do with Christianity and is promoting secularism/degeneracy.. therefore it is heresy. There are smart Protestants that reject Zionism though so not all Protestants are bad.
