@disclosetv Just to give it perspective for the average person: it’d mean owing the same amount of debt as you earn in a year. 😅

Speed lost his Chinese phone (Huawei trifold) in the sea. Apparently, he was extremely frustrated. "I went all the way to China to get that phone!" You know why he’s so down? Because he can’t buy that phone in the US as the government bans Huawei.

@TheEXECUTlONER_ It depends on the dump charge some counties charge outrageous fees. Another cost the professional has to bear is workers comp insurance. Tree trimming is a high risk business with high risk premiums. A large piece of that $2600 quote is unavoidable overhead for the professional

This 91 year old woman who owns this property wanted her tree trimmed, especially the low hanging branches and the ones over the sidewalk. She was quoted $2,600 by a professional tree trimming company. This man was referred by a friend and he knew it was a lot of money so he told her he would do it for $650. He made two trips to the dump and used a pole saw. Some are saying $650 was too much for the too little he did. Do you think $650 was a fair price in helping out that woman? For trimming what he did, two trips to the dump and 6 hours worth of work?

@Iraqveteran8888 First, the only source we have that any girls were killed is the Iranian government, and anyone that trusts them is an idiot. Second, they sent their kids to school that shared a wall with military assets. If there were girls there then they were human shields.

this kind of thing is much more common than most Americans realize foreigners (spiritual and literal) blow through credit cards, rack up debt, then drop everything and go back to their country of origin.

They intentionally build the Hilux for non-US markets that don't add $10,000 to sticker price for conforming to US vehicle regulatory requirements. We can't have it, because Toyota has no desire to make the Hilux U.S. safety compliant. Because by the time they did, it would no longer be a competitively priced product, and would weight considerably more. US vehicle regulations have gone off the rails for the last 30 years. It's why there are no small cheap new cars for sale as well.

🛻 This guy asks: Why don’t we have these types of vehicles in the USA? He picked up his Toyota Hilux just 8 or 9 days ago in San José, Costa Rica, then drove it 200+ miles down to the beach and off-roading spots he’s filming from now — complete with water crossings and rough roads. He’s raving to all the “car people” about how perfect it is: manual diesel 4x4, super durable, crazy fuel-efficient. He’s already planning the exact same 200+ mile drive back tomorrow… and figures he’ll still have half a tank left. So when he asks why don’t have these in the States, I think it’s because it’s a well-built vehicle that’s still going strong at 260,000 miles and because it’s so fuel-efficient. But, I’m leaning more toward the fuel efficiency, honestly. What’s one car or truck you’ve loved on a trip that we don’t really get here in the States?

@DAKKADAKKA1 Because the "migrant housing" is still on her property and can be used for something else later and ups the value of her property. Actually paying a reasonable wage gets her nothing.

I don’t think there’s a single thing that fills me with pure rage more than a modern jeep. even the old ones are honestly not that great (the 4.0 is unkillable but they’re still not particularly interesting cars) but the modern ones literally have nothing going for them

Union trades are printing money. Stop wasting 4 years and $100k+ on a useless degree. Real numbers from union construction (strong union markets, 2026 rates): - **Iron Workers**: $58.95/hr wage + $92.02 benefits = **$150.97 per hour** - **Electricians (IBEW)**: $62/hr wage + $66.90 benefits = **$128.90 per hour** - **Tunnel Workers / Laborers (specialized)**: $75.14/hr wage + $66.51 benefits = **$141.65 per hour** - **Plumbers & Pipefitters (UA)**: $55–$65/hr wage + $45–$55 benefits = **$100–$120 per hour** - **Operating Engineers (Heavy Equipment)**: $60–$70/hr wage + $35–$45 benefits = **$95–$115 per hour** - **Carpenters**: $50–$60/hr wage + $40–$50 benefits = **$90–$110 per hour** That’s your total compensation (base wage + full benefits package) multiplied by 2,000 hours a year — often $200,000+ annually with overtime. No student debt. No gender studies classes. Overtime pay, pensions, top-tier health care, annuity plans, and real marketable skills. Trades built America. College is turning kids into broke baristas. Put down the textbook and pick up a tool.

@BasedAndRight_ @ScoootsMcGoots @gas_biz Top tier detergent gasoline is the quality of fuel that allows your injectors to last longer and less carbon build up. Costco is top tier while many others are not. Youre right on the octane part

@AllenLaid @ScoootsMcGoots @gas_biz Unless you have a high compression engine or your engine (usually turbo) specifically calls for 91/93 octane then you’re just wasting money. Getting “top tier” aka higher octane makes no difference for 99% of vehicles.

@gas_biz the easiest way to know if a person is unequivocally dumber than you is if they wait in line or drive out if their way to get cheaper gas. The changes in gas prices are a negligible change from week to week for anyone who doesnt work or own a business reliant on gasoline/diesel.
