This weekend I played at Northwood in the @PGHMichigan Collage Tour. We went 4-0 a great way to start our season! A special thanks @CoachEvanBell for watching us play and highlighting some of our strengths. This weekend we will be attending The Clash in Hamilton OH. @Mystics2027

Bay City John Glenn came out aggressive, forcing turnovers and running the break in building a 27-9 lead in the middle of the 2nd qtr. Flint Hamady battled back to cut it to 31-23 on an old-fashioned 3-pt play by Taleah Lassiter to open the 2nd half scoring, but John Glenn answered with a 14-0 run, kicked off by a pair of 3s by Allie Gabel, to go up 45-23 and take the wind out of Hamady's sail. John Glenn went on to win 68-41. The 3-pronged attack of sophs Aubrey Moore (pictured, #4) & A'Leeyah Alonzo-Manning (pictured, #22), & jr Allie Gabel (pictured, #20) combined to hit 10 3s and score 53 of John Glenn's 68 points. Moore finished 2 steals short of a triple-double with 24 points, 14 rebounds, & 8 steals, while also adding 6 assists. Alonzo-Manning controlled the game at the point & scored 13 of her 15 points in the 2nd half as JG pulled away. Gabel was a sniper from behind the arc, hitting 4 3s on her way to 14 points. Soph Remy Polzin also contributed a well-rounded stat line with 8 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists, & 5 steals. Hamady was led by physical post player Taleah Lassiter, who took advantage of JG's lack of interior size to power through contact. She had 3 old-fashioned 3-pt play opportunities and, after getting her nerves out missing her first 3 FTs of the season, hit 9-for-10 the rest of the way. Lassiter tallied a 17-&-12 double-double. Sr Aria Dottery hit 4 3-pointers to add 12 points. Monday Night Game: Flint Hamady (0-0, D3) @ Bay City John Glenn (0-0, D2) in Bay City, MI Tonight is opening night for games in Michigan. This is a non-conference game. Flint Hamady was 20-2 last year; they went undefeated to win the Genesee Area Conference and also won a district title. John Glenn went 11-13 and finished 5th in the Tri-Valley Conference, Red division last year, but are very young and will be starting 4 sophomores & 1 junior in tonight's opener. @HamadyBBall @Hamady_Hawks

Allie Breese Gabel 2027 Guard @Alliegabel2027 is a skilled shooter with nice range and the ability to attack off the dribble. She plays with excellent feel for the game and competes hard on both ends of the floor. Showed impressive leadership, even in a showcase setting.
