@LauraDavisTx @Robukscot @OliLondonTV "Leftist ideologies" such as reading, writing and math? We are working hard to help keep these important "ideologies" in our district. We would prefer to keep politics out of education in our district. Wouldn't you? 💙💛

I can’t tell you how funny this is to me? “Leftist blinkers”? First, I’m guessing you meant blinders, lol, and autocorrect gotcha. 2nd, I’m a conservative and very active in my community trying to remove Leftist ideologies from our schools. You should be careful where you throw baseless insults. When making sure something is accurate becomes a “leftist” characteristic …CA & NYC will become livable again. 🤣

Members of our community are asking many good questions about Propositions A&B. In the next few weeks, we want to use this space to answer some of those questions. (1/4) #LISDpropsAB

5-And 3. The revenue increase that’s referenced in the ballot language reflects gross tax collections over the prior year. It DOES NOT CONSIDER RECAPTURE or the LOSS OF STATE FUNDING. The net increase in funding as a result of passing Prop B would be $32 million. @LISD_elections

1-This @LeanderISD Prop B Ballot (VATRE) language can be confusing. This is how the wording on the ballot will look in Oct/Nov. Check out our explanation (also utilizing @LISD_elections page as a resource). A thread 🧵…

What happens if Proposition A fails? If voters reject Prop A, the state could embark on a Detachment of Territory, meaning that parts of the district’s property tax base would be taken off of the @LeanderISD tax rolls—(1/2) #LISDpropsAB

The passage of Prop B would provide an additional $32 million for education in Leander ISD. This revenue would help recruit and retain teachers and provide funding for the compensation plan that the Board of Trustees approved in May. (1/2) #LISDpropsAB
