Northeastern students have been flocking to Southern public universities in record numbers. Southern colleges saw applications surge 50% since 2019, while New England/mid-Atlantic schools grew less than 30%. Northern students enrolling at Southern public universities are up 84% over the past two decades (and +30% just since 2018). SEC schools saw a 91% jump in Northeastern undergrads from 2014-2023. Burlington, VT, fired 30% of its police officers and the city became a dangerous dump filled with asylum seekers (teen criminal gangs) and drug addicts. Now the flagship state university faces a $12 million deficit.

Just drove through NJ & NY — Applegreen is absolutely gouging drivers on both Turnpike/Thruway. Irish company controls ALL service plazas in both states. Murphy’s 2022 NJ deal ($126M “investment,”US HQ) and Hochul’s NY $450M rebuild (finished 2025) delivered shiny new spots… with sky-high monopoly prices on everything. Captive audience cash grab. NY even floated a $260M taxpayer bailout request mid-project. Politicians cut the ribbons and tout jobs, while we pay premium for gas/food/chargers with zero competition. Same crony pattern in both states. Travelers lose.
