What an amazing Alva Prizegiving! Congrats to all the pupils on their outstanding achievements. It was especially special to recognise the hard work of our Geographers Emma, Eilidh, Euan, Finlay and Bailey.

We did it! 🎉After the official launch of Fairtrade Alva we have been officially recognised as a FairAware school! Big thanks to our lovely Fairtrade members who volunteer their time and our new S2 who completed outstanding learning challenges. It was lovely to celebrate today!

Our second cohort of new S4 pupils have made their way to St Andrews for fieldwork! They were excellent at gathering their data and working together! Well done guys! @AlvaGeography @AlvaAcademy

What an amazing day for S3 fieldwork! Our pupils did us proud showing off their geographical skills. Even managed to schedule an ice cream stop as a reward. ☀️

Excellent turn out of N5, Higher and Advanced Higher across our study day for the Geography exams tomorrow! Past papers, OS maps, revision sheets and flash cards all in use as we make the final push!

Excellent mini map skills from 4F today. They made mini booklets considering how map features could impact a development site ahead of their practice question next lesson. They loved this idea, thanks @MissDonnelly8!
