एका जपानी तरुणीचा एक व्हिडीओ समोर आला. ती सध्या महाराष्ट्रात वास्तव्याला आहे आणि ती तिच्या परीने मराठी भाषा शिकायचा प्रयत्न करत आहे. ती एक नवीन मराठी शब्द रोज शिकते आणि त्याची एक चित्रफीत तिने टाकली. ती चित्रफीत पाहिल्यावर एक विचार डोक्यात आला की हे सगळे काही हजार किलोमीटरवरून येणारे परदेशी पाहुणे, पण इथे आल्यावर या प्रांताची भाषा 'मराठी' आहे हे सहज मान्य करतात. ते जर इथे खूप काळ राहणार असतील तर ती भाषा शिकण्याचा प्रयत्न करतात,नाहीतर किमान भाषेचा अनादर कधीच करत नाहीत. उलट आपण त्यांच्यासमोर आपल्या भाषेत बोललो तर त्यांना आनंद होतो. त्यांना जमलं तर आपल्या भाषेतील नाटकं बघायची असतात, इथली खाद्यसंस्कृती समजून घ्यायची असते, इथला इतिहास समजून घ्यायचा असतो. आणि हे सगळं करताना त्यांना मराठीबद्दल जितकं अपार कुतूहल असतं तितका अपार आदर पण असतो. ते इथून इतर राज्यात गेले तर तिकडे जाऊन पण त्याच उत्सुक्याने सगळं बघत असतात, शिकत असतात. मध्यंतरी नवी मुंबईत कोल्डप्लेचा कार्यक्रम झाला तेंव्हा या शहराची, राज्याची भाषा मराठी आहे हे कळल्यावर, ख्रिस मार्टिनने अगदी सहज मराठीत एक दोन वाक्य बोलत प्रेक्षकांना अभिवादन केलं. या शहरांत जेंव्हा जेंव्हा इतर देशांचे राष्ट्राध्यक्ष आलेत तेंव्हा त्यांच्यातील बहुसंख्य राष्ट्राध्यक्षांनी मराठीत अभिवादन केलं आहे. मुंबईत असलेली दूतावासांची कार्यालयं मराठी ही या राज्याची भाषा आहे त्यामुळे महत्वाच्या सणांना मराठीत शुभेच्छा देतात. तिथे मराठी बोलणारा कर्मचारी वर्ग राहील हे बघतात. हे परक्यांना कळतं पण काही स्वकीयांना कळत नाही. त्यांना मुंबईची भाषा मराठी नाही तर इथे अनेक भाषा आहेत हे म्हणावंसं वाटतं. मध्यंतरी सरसंघचालक मुंबईत एका कार्यक्रमाला येऊन गेले. त्यावेळी आपण मुंबईत आहोत, आपण मराठी पण आहोत त्यामुळे थोडाफार संवाद मराठीत पण साधावा असं त्यांना का वाटलं नाही ? माहित नाही. मला संघाच्याच काही लोकांनी सांगितलं की या आधीचे सरसंघचालक सुदर्शनजी यांचा जन्म आणि बालपण रायपूरमध्ये झालं होतं, त्यांना हिंदी यायचं पण ते जे कर्नाटकातून आले होते त्या राज्याच्या कन्नड भाषेचा त्यांना कधी विसर पडला नाही. उलट कर्नाटकात गेले तर आवर्जून कन्नडमध्ये संवाद साधायचे. असो.. माझं मराठी भाषिकांना आवाहन आहे की परदेशी व्यक्ती तुमच्या भाषेचा सन्मान करतील आणि करतात. पण इथल्या मूठभर स्वकीयांना या भाषेत बोलतं करण्यासाठी आपली भाषा ज्ञानाची आणि अर्थार्जनाची बनवूया. जेणेकरून ती शिकल्या शिवाय पर्यायच उरणार नाही. त्या जपानी मुलीला मनःपूर्वक धन्यवाद 🙏 राज ठाकरे ।

Pakistan gave gallantry awards to soldiers who participated in their response to India’s Op Sindoor. Out of these, 155 were posthumous, meaning at least 155 Pakistani soldiers were killed in Indian attack. But the actual number should be much higher, since not every death gets a gallantry award. Normally, the posthumous award-to-death ratio is about 1: 10 to 1 :30. That would put the toll in thousands. But even if we assume Pakistan awarded every single casualty, 155 deaths is still massive. So, as Air Marshal AK Bharti said, we just hit the target and didn’t count the body bags. Pakistan did it for us. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
