The arrest of Andrew and Tristan Tate this weekend hits the same way it did in late 2022. I was one of the first to call them innocent back then, and my opinion hasn’t changed four years later. I’ve known these guys for years (before their meteoric rise), hung out with them, spoken with them, and even lived with them. In real life, they’re top shelf gentlemen. These are the type of men who will firmly shake your hand, look you in the eye, say it will get done, and you don’t think twice. No contract needed, just their word. Calling them “human traffickers” or “rapists” is preposterous. I’ve watched women chase them and beg to stay at their house while the Tates are trying to get them to leave. They are not traffickers. Four years later with zero convictions, they’re still fighting for their freedom, persecuted purely for their influence. The media lied before, and they’re doing it again. Don’t believe them. Local authorities and one of Nolan Wells’ own friends have since stated this photo was actually taken at a June 27 gathering in Pass Christian, Mississippi, not during the weekend Nolan disappeared. This is exactly how false narratives are created. Someone posts a rumor. A high-profile figure repeats it. Millions of people (who think Crump has any credibility) assume it has been vetted simply because of who shared it. Before long, complete strangers are being tried and convicted on social media over information that may have nothing to do with the case. That’s not how investigations work. That’s not how responsible journalism works. And frankly, it’s not how attorneys should conduct themselves, either. If you genuinely care about finding out what happened to Nolan Wells, then stop treating every viral rumor like it’s a clue. Wait for tangible evidence and facts. Because once misinformation spreads across the internet, you don’t just delete it and pretend the damage never happened. It follows innocent people long after the facts finally catch up.
