@GinaKCUR Meanwhile, my kids’ school dropped mask rules last week. And with this CDC announcement, even the Clay County Health Department removed its recommendations for masks on school buses — even though the CDC recommends masks for red zones. Makes absolutely no sense to me.

@GinaKCUR Yeah, even some of my incredibly careful friends are seeing this news, thinking the cdc says it’s ok to stop masking here. Nope, we are in the lucky 30 percent. Jackson, Platte, Clay, Wyandotte, Leavenworth and so many more areas in and around our metro are still in the red.

So much criticism over weather forecasting. Please stop the madness. Anyway, our forecast has been consistent and snow is increasing across the KC metro area now. There will be these heavier bands. As I showed on the air, 2-5 inches by morning are still likely!

The downtown Jackson County Courthouse will be closed the rest of the week due to a water leak. It shut down last Thursday, but officials this weekend had hoped to reopen quickly. What a mess!
