@HalfTangible The Morman Bible...
Do not include that one, please.
English

"There are over 50 different Bibles"
No. There are more than 50 *translations*. It's the same book.

They also count different variants of the same denominations.
Yes, that means a Baptist church in Texas and a baptist church in Louisiana are counted as two seperate denominations despite being in the same denominations.
A catholic church in China and a Catholic Church in Italy are also treated as two seperate denominations by this count.
English

Says the motherfucker who called me an idiot for following historical teachings and books while having a PHD in Astrophysics which requires him to follow the teachings and practices of other people to recieve.
Follow your own preaching. Drop the texts and point at the stars and call them whatever your own eyes observe them to be instead of reading books written by other people.
English

@WingsOfHuginn @Am3ricanMonarch @TheIronWarden Delusional deflections is all you will ever get from christians.
English

@_A_Reader_ @PissOffM89 @___TheGOOdWitch Then what morality was the western world built upon?
Ask any historian and they will tell you its based on Christian Law and Roman philosophy.
English

@Am3ricanMonarch @PissOffM89 @___TheGOOdWitch You've sufficiently demonstrated that the bible and the Judeo/Christian god are not a basis of morality.
English

@WingsOfHuginn @VAAV_kato @TheIronWarden If we are going by which church follows the teachings and practices of the early saints most closely, then Catholicism. So, Catholicism.
English

@VAAV_kato @WingsOfHuginn @TheIronWarden With that logic, everything is subjective and nothing is true. There is no objective truth.
You claim to have a PHD in Astrophysics meaning you followed the teachings and guides of others who came before you.
English

@Am3ricanMonarch @WingsOfHuginn @TheIronWarden Because some interpret it like religious theology (which is nonsense) and others dont.
Besides that there are always micro- and macro-levels just like in nature.
If you cant observe and think for yourself you may prefer religious dogma. But you wont find any truth there, ever.
English

Mormonism was made in the United States.
Baptist is also American.
Orthodoxy is seperate from the Vatican.
You can read the vast majority fo the books and scrolls stored in the Vatican online or in most national libraries.
The conspiracy theory that the Catholics are hiding the truth behind Christianity in the Vatican comes from two tbings:
1. The fact that certain heretical texts, primarily agnostic texts made by false disciples claiming things like Jesus never died on a cross among other things that just don't add up. Were for a time hidden from public to prevent such things from spreading. Same reason why governments today withhold certain information from the public to prevent mass confusion, panic, or misinformation.
2. The Latin word Secretum which meant "private" or "personal." The majority fo the texts in the Vatican weren't secret books but just the personal collection of the Pope that consisted of various historical and current texts that teh pope and other scholars could read and preserve, but the word "Secretum" became "secret" and "secret" is associated with "forbidden" in our modern language.
The Vatican is very gatekeepy about the library in their walls because many of the texts are extremely old and many people throughout history have actively tried to destroy or erase them, so they tend to be very cautious and careful with who they allow to enter. There have been secular historians and scholars who were allowed to read and make copies of the texts inside.
Would you call a museum evil and secretive for only lettinga. Select few handle their artifacts in the back house?
As for the texts that aren't publically available, the primary reason this is so has nothing to do with secret knowledge being forbidden and more to do with either they have yet to be translated into modern readable language or no one has even tried to translate them yet.
English

@Am3ricanMonarch @VAAV_kato @TheIronWarden Christianity, Catholic, Baptist, Mormon & more versions, Locked away scripture in the Vatican. So I ask you, which ones correct?
English

1. Then every war in history is Genocide because it involved one group of people trying g to destroy the other. Congratulations.
2. Isaac knew what God ordered and actively encouraged Abraham to go through with it. The entire thing was a test of the faith of both Isaac and Abraham. God was proving that there were people whom were truly faithful on earth, so he halted Abraham, gave a lamb in Isaac's place, then told Abraham that he would have a savior born of Abraham's bloodline as a reward for Abraham's faith.
3. Do you owe debts to anyone and perform acts of labor or service to pay them off? Congratulations, by many ancient definitions of slavery, you are a slave. Chattel Slavery and ancient israelite Slaveey are not the same. Even many secular historians agree.
4. Gambled? It wasn't gambling. The name Satan literally means "the accuser." Satan would say "Humans aren't worthy of your grace, let me prove it" to which God, like any Judge, even if already knowing the outcome says "fine, but here are the rules."
English

@Am3ricanMonarch @PissOffM89 @___TheGOOdWitch God ordered genocide. God ordered child sacrifice. God codified slavery. God gambled with Satan.
Slavery by Israelites of the other ethic people's was chattel slavery.
Not successfully committing a genocide is still a genocide. If I'm not mistaken there are still Jews alive.
English

Then why can't anyone decide whether Freyja and Frigg are two seperate people or the same person?
Why can't anyone agree if Garmr and Fenrir are two seperate entities or the same person?
Why can't anyone agree if the 9nrealns are different plains of existence or different parts of the same world?
Why can't many germanic pagans agree if Loki is misunderstood outcast or a straight up villain?
Why can't many agree if there are Giants helping the Aesir in Ragnarok or if all giants are fighting against the aesir?
Where is the "same eternal divine patterns"? Some can't even agree on what causes Ragnarok or if Odin is a petty but wise man or a naive but smart god.
English

@Am3ricanMonarch @WingsOfHuginn @TheIronWarden Our germanic Gods truth exists independent of human writings & orthodoxy. That’s why our ancestors chose orthopraxy over human made dogma. Living practice reveals the same eternal divine patterns anywhere, anytime.
English

Chattel slavery is evil and cruel.
The definition of slavery has changed over the course of thousand sof years. Our modern definition of Slavery comes from Chattel slavery. Ancient understandings of slavery often came from paying off debts with labor or conquest.
Genocide is immoral as God commanded the destruction of the Empires not the xtermination of the people. If God wanted the people exterminated then he would never have sent Prophets like Jonah to preach to the Gentiles that Israel was previous at war with.
English

@Am3ricanMonarch @PissOffM89 @___TheGOOdWitch Is slavery moral or immoral? Is genocide moral or immoral?
What changed is the world and god had to change too since he's a manifestation of man.
English

What changed?
God making laws against slavery making it harder for masters to be absolute and easier for slaves to walk away or live relatively normal lives?
Or the fact that the ancient Israelites didn't fight wars of extermination but rather destruction of an enemy's military and hostile governments?
At this point I feel I could drop a horse in front of you and you'd call it a donkey.
English
