I'm 48 and none of my friends growing up had a single income family, even though many of the moms desired it

@AmFlee @theRobot990 @DangerousThinkg I don't have daughters, but I have nieces, and I fully endorsed them getting good qualifications so they can provide for themselves and not *need* to marry someone to do it for them. It allows them to be more highly selective and less vulnerable to exploitation.

Sure, putting aside shitty guys tending to be deceitful, some women make obviously shitty choices, but the chance of that happening is a lot less if she can afford to have high standards and be choosy --and financial independence goes a long way in that.

@Nexxo00 @Swashbucklist @DangerousThinkg No one is saying women who want to choose a career should be forced into homemaking. Just saying that many women didnt want to be part of the workforce. Now most have no choice, due to financial concerns. Most women i know would rather be at home with kids.
