Unfortunately, we’re not only talking about me as an individual- we‘re talking about the thousands of now unemployed New Yorkers who lost their jobs and health insurance due to this pandemic which is out of their control. @IrieLady2 @angel_felixv @NYGovCuomo There’s already a mortgage moratorium in NY. You just have to call your bank ASAP to make sure it’s in effect for you. We’re talking here about freezing the mortgage, but not freezing the rent- giving some relief to landowners and landlords, but not to renters...class distinction

@angel_felixv @NYGovCuomo If you freeze my tenant's rent, will you then freeze my mortgage payment, my oil bill (still have to give tenants heat & hot water), my water & sewer bill, my whatever? I think not.
