@feltnerm @smwc A4: Teachers would appreciate an inservice to help them understand what programs are on the device and how to use the device. Having programs that provide feedback on a students progress to teachers would be very successful. #SMWCED115 @smwc

Q4: How should schools overall prepare teachers when they adopt 1:1 devices? What do teachers need to be successful in using tech with a purpose (not a time sitter) Don't forget A4 and the hashtag/handle: #SMWCED115 @smwc

@StephenieWeaver @feltnerm @smwc A8 Reply: What are some of your favorite pinterest pages? #SMWCED115 @smwc
English

@feltnerm @smwc A8: I would pick Pinterest. On Pinterest, you can find lesson plans, science experiments and follow other teachers to help you. Great for PLN! #SMWCED115 @smwc

@feltnerm @smwc A5: Definitely parent/teacher conferences would be beneficial so both the parent and teacher knows what to expect in the classroom. Parents should also help prepare their child for the blended learning environment at home. #SMWCED115 @smwc

@Jacquel071176 @feltnerm @smwc A2 reply: I would want to make sure I know what I am doing with the technology as well. It would be horrible to not know what I am doing and trying to teach the class. #SMWCED115 @smwc

@feltnerm @smwc A2 My main concern for integrating technology into the classroom is that I completely understand the technology I’m using so that I tech my students properly and with confidence. #SMWCED115

Q2: What concerns do you have regarding technology in the classroom? Don't forget A2 and the hashtag/handle: #SMWCED115 @smwc

@LeighHinkle @feltnerm @smwc A7 reply: I have heard great things about SAMR and recently I read an article about how more and more schools are using it in their classrooms. #SMWCED115 @smwc
English

@feltnerm @smwc A7 definitely SAMR. It is a simple framework and I love how it encourages simple swaps in your classroom from your everyday pen and paper to using a smartboard, video and and so on. It helps me think outside the box and allow for enhancement in the classroom. #SMWCED115 @smwc

Q7: If you could use a technology integration framework of your choice, what would it be and why? Don't forget A7 and the hashtag/handle: #SMWCED115 @smwc

@StephenieWeaver @feltnerm @smwc Yes the history in the device being used is a good thing to view after students are finished. If there is more than one device, the teacher could put numbers on them and assign students a number to match the device. #SMWCED115
English

@feltnerm @smwc A4 Teachers need to know what are and are not the educational website. Teachers need to know how to look up the history of a student's device.
Teachers can use the technology to assess the students in a unit that they have completed.#SMWCED115 @smwc

@AshleyDowns @feltnerm @smwc That is so true. I didn't have a computer or internet when I was growing up until middle school. Then again it was very slow. My parents were smart though and put the computer in their room. #SMWCED115
English

@feltnerm @smwc A2 I am concerned about some of the kids not being able to follow through at home because they don’t have the technology or the internet connection. Also to keep the kids engaged in what you are learning & not doing inappropriate things on their resources. #SMWCED115 @SMWC

@nicholscarlie11 @feltnerm @smwc Summer training is a good idea. Time limits are good to an extent. I know I don't like to work under pressure like that. I would be looking at the time winding down more than I would be doing my work. #SMWCED115
English

@ProvinesTabatha @feltnerm @smwc That's exactly what I would wonder when a student is using technology in the classroom. Let's just hope they remember the rules. I don't like pop ups, they are annoying and distracting. #SMWCED115
English

@feltnerm @smwc A2: My concerns would be when a student is using a computer, are they really using that computer for the classroom assignments or just for their personal use. Another concern is pop ups and if technology really works correctly.

@LeighHinkle @feltnerm @smwc Consequences do need to be put in play the minute technology is being used. This rules need to be plastered up in the classroom so there will be no excuses. #SMWCED115
English

@feltnerm @smwc A3 They need to review the handbook and guidelines created by the school and any specific rules the teacher has in the classroom. I also think that it is important to communicate that there are consequences if you choose not to follow the rules. #SMWCED115

Q3: What should teachers teach prior to allowing students to use technology with guidance during instruction or freely in the classroom? Don't forget A3 and the hashtag/handle: #SMWCED115 @smwc

@cooter883 @feltnerm @smwc These days technology is too addictive for children. They are so young and some of them know more about technology than adults. I like having more nature in the classroom as well. Where I work there is zero technology for children. #SMWCED115 @smwc
English

Q1: What was your initial reaction to the idea of integrating technology in the classroom? Don't forget A1 and the hashtag/handle: #SMWCED115 @smwc
English

@feltnerm @smwc A8: Flipboard. Read articles from The New York Times, National Geographic, Vanity Fair, and thousands more. Design Smart Magazines: bundle sources, people and even hashtags. Keep up with the news in daily roundup. Collect stories and add them to personal magazines. #SMWCED115
English

@feltnerm @smwc A7: SAMR because students can use technology to build on their ideas and turn it into something big. #SMWCED115
English

@feltnerm @IXLLearning @smwc A6: interactive websites such as BrainPOP, Voicethread, a collaborative multimedia conversation tool. Explore student-created multimedia presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint, LibreOffice, Prezi, or Google Docs. Collaborate using apps like Whiteboard. #SMWCED115
English

Q6: Provide at least two of the possibilities for proper technology integration. Name tool and purpose. Use Education Terms! (Ex - Differentiation for Math Review using @IXLLearning) Don't forget A6 and the hashtag/handle: #SMWCED115 @smwc

@feltnerm @smwc A5: Teachers should fill the parents in by emailing them information and videos about this. Allow them to ask questions. Set up a meeting if needed. #SMWCED115
English

@feltnerm @smwc A4: Schools need to prepare teachers when they adopt 1:1 devices by letting them use the devices first to see what they can do with them. This way if there are any glitches or questions they can be addressed before hand. Teachers need experience. #SMWCED115
English

@feltnerm @smwc A3: Teachers need to teach their students what is expected of them while using technology in the classrooms. Teachers need to let the students know that there will be consequences for any misuse of technology. #SMWCED115
English

@feltnerm @smwc A2: My concerns regarding technology in the classroom would be, how much technology is used during each day? What would happen if technology doesn't want to work that day? Is technology taking away from the regular paper and pencil? Is it being used as a fill in? #SMWCED115
English

@feltnerm @smwc A2: My concerns regarding technology in the classroom would be how much technology would be used each day in the classroom? What happens when the technology doesn't work? Is technology going to take over paper and pencil? Is technology going to used properly or is it a fill in?
