Ex colleague told me that they raised concerns about nurses working past their shift.
Manager shrugged it off.

@BellaBaddie__ Yes. Know a nurse who conceived around the same time each year so she could maximise maternity leave
2 of her daughters are born on the same day

@NurseStandard This again. Stop trying to make bedside handles overs a thing.
Unless it's an area like icu, it's a confidentiality breach
English

For many nursing students, giving handover is daunting, but when it is at the patient’s bedside, maintaining confidentiality can be an additional worry.
This article provides a guide on how to share sensitive information safely.

@KateNicholl Employers need to get on board
I'm a nurse and it's a myth that there is family friendly working in the trusts.
Too often it's "to meet the needs of the service "

@NurseStandard Oh bore off.
No other health care professionals obsess this much over uniforms.
English

NHS trusts across England that have introduced the new standardised uniform report positive feedback, but take-up is low – we look at how many staff are now wearing the garments.

@Bricky2023 @ChloeMac20 @Jenny_1884 Sure put a doctor on reception
... see how that works out
Taking a doctor out of clinic
Even with that people would still be whinging to see a GP face to face
We no longer have the resources for that
If it's that time critical the patient needs to be in a&e not gp surgery
English

@AmandaAtCalm @ChloeMac20 @Jenny_1884 Why ? As far as I am aware a receptionist is not a qualified clinician. For the patient valuable time could be wasted being signposted to the wrong GP/clinician. This should not be the job of a receptionist.

@BBCNewsNI Sure we don't even have cold capping in Northern Ireland
Roi and rest of UK do

Knowing my personal data.

@Bricky2023 @ChloeMac20 @Jenny_1884 So the receptionist will Try to match you compliant with the right gp
English

@Bricky2023 @ChloeMac20 @Jenny_1884 Because certain gp a specialise in certain areas
I.e dr Smith who specialises in women's care may be better to see about your heavy periods over dr jones who specialises in asthma

@Norris18Leigh @TD_EW91 @ChloeMac20 @Jenny_1884 GP s in my OOH will not give dental advice because they aren't dentists. Funnily enough
English

@TD_EW91 @ChloeMac20 @Jenny_1884 I phoned because I had excruciating pain in my jaw and was told it was a dental problem, I ended up in A+E because it was unbearable and I was told I had Trigeminal neuralgia. It shouldn’t have got to the point that I ended up in A+E because someone unqualified gave wrong advice
