Ex colleague told me that they raised concerns about nurses working past their shift. Manager shrugged it off. Stated HR in @BelfastTrust only care it it's over 30 mins. Really? Colleague working an hour for free each week Over a week worked for free over the year Wage theft

@NurseStandard This again. Stop trying to make bedside handles overs a thing. Unless it's an area like icu, it's a confidentiality breach

I was contacted by Maghaberry prison to come talk to the male inmates about domestic abuse / violence against women. 🤯 it’s not my job to teach men how to do the most basic thing that should be human instinct

@KateNicholl Employers need to get on board I'm a nurse and it's a myth that there is family friendly working in the trusts. Too often it's "to meet the needs of the service "

Childcare is an ecosystem & if we want affordable, high quality & accessible childcare then all the parts need to work - including the regulatory framework. Good news today from Dept Health 🙌

Theres a certain very very vocal political leader very very silent on the disgraceful investigation into Katie Simpson. No calling out the behaviour of investigation officers or the fact 2 were allowed to resign on a full pension.

NHS trusts across England that have introduced the new standardised uniform report positive feedback, but take-up is low – we look at how many staff are now wearing the garments. The new uniform is optional and organisations are not obliged to adopt it. rcni.com/nursing-standa…

@Bricky2023 @ChloeMac20 @Jenny_1884 Sure put a doctor on reception ... see how that works out Taking a doctor out of clinic Even with that people would still be whinging to see a GP face to face We no longer have the resources for that If it's that time critical the patient needs to be in a&e not gp surgery

Why are we expected to explain to a Drs receptionist our medical condition in order to see the DR nowadays. Is Dr-Patient confidentiality not a thing anymore?

@TD_EW91 @ChloeMac20 @Jenny_1884 I phoned because I had excruciating pain in my jaw and was told it was a dental problem, I ended up in A+E because it was unbearable and I was told I had Trigeminal neuralgia. It shouldn’t have got to the point that I ended up in A+E because someone unqualified gave wrong advice
