In his new book, Tom Bower revealed a prominent member of the British establishment regularly met with Meghan before the wedding to brief her on the duties, restraints, and realities of royal life. She wasn't clueless - she was scheming from the beginning. Always playing the victim and fabricating stories.

Before the wedding, I didn't have an opinion either way about markle - this is the look, the complete absence of humility, that made me realise that it wasn't about marrying a prince, it was about trapping her prey and the 'power' she thought marrying a dumb prince would give her. It wasn't about what she could bring to our Royal Family, it was about what she could take from our Royal Family. Never appreciated anything, not even a £32m wedding, always believed it was exactly what she deserved. No one was allowed to say 'no' because she was a 'duchess'. Not even Her Majesty, our late Queen Elizabeth. And still some people don't get the hypocrisy. Her 'royal title' meant she was above everyone, even our Queen, who had served selflessly for over 70 years. Finally, her day of reckoning has come, because the pen IS mightier than the sword. #TomBowerBetrayal
