This is such a typical leftist response. You try to shame me for pointing out the things that are in KIDS books. If these things are okay to be in books for kids that are in the libraries of middle schools and elementary schools why do you now think it’s to heinous to be posted on Twitter? I’m simply saying that these books are the books parents want banned, not books that have two dads in them.

Today there are culture wars surrounding books that mention any LGBTQ themes. Nearly half the country becomes outraged if a child sees a drag queen. Parents call for book bans if a book talks about someone having two dads. Reality is though, that this is nothing new. What's new to me is only the massive amounts of outrage. - Sesame Street, in 2021, introduced two gay dads Dave and Frank along with their daughter Mia on their show. - Bert and Ernie are a gay couple, according to the show’s former writer (although the show’s producers deny it). - Nickelodeon, in 2002, had a show called 'Nick News Special Edition: My Family Is Different.' It featured kids of gay and lesbian parents. - Nickelodeon’s The Legend of Korra, which came out in 2014, had an LGBTQ main character. - In 2015, drag queen RuPaul was a guest on Bubble Guppies on Nickelodeon. - The character Dana Dufresne in Nickelodeon’s ‘Loud House’ transitioned to a transgender woman in 2019. There have been many shows aimed at kids which have LGBTQ characters. This has been going on for over 20 years. It seems to me that only now is the country in an uproar whenever a new character, book, or TV show comes out, aimed at kids, featuring LGBTQ themes or characters. Why?
