The Royal Navy's availability issues are their own thing, but fleet assets like T45s for the carriers and Wildcats for the escorts shouldn't have been expected to defend Akrotiri and asking them to do so with little notice is a desperate afterthought. That is a sign of deeper failures of the RAF's ability to defend airfields and air defence in general.

@WorldofRobert1 As a European looking in, it's very bizarre that none of the ICE agents wear any form of BWV, all masked and no form of ID. Just screams that they have no accountability. They are wearing POLICE vests which is confusing as they are not police?

I served 16 unblemished years as a major City Police Officer. Served on Patrol, with Vice, as a Detective and School Resource Officer, rounded it out with 6 years on SWAT. Not one formal complaint. It's getting harder and harder to hold my tongue. Are they doing background checks? Psych tests? Polygraphs? Are they even getting trained? Politics aside, something is very very broken.

Just a question, Have you spent any time on an ambulance? Have you seen what a paramedic day in and day out? Have you seen what they deal with? They deal with nose bleeds and colds to traumatic cardiac arrests. You will not want every ambulance to take a person who calls 999 to hospital, the system would collapse!

Labour have had the most breaches of the Code of Conduct since the general election and the Greens have had none. The Lib Dems have had the highest breaches by a single MP (22), with Reform not far behind (17).
