She is lying by saying we can’t use the military to fix the problem. The USN is more than capable of opening the strait with ease and keeping it open. The issue isn’t opening the strait; the US right now sees no need to force it open when the closed strait helps strong-arm other nations into helping contain the Islamic regime.

If any US warship were to suffer damage in the Mediterranean or the Indian Ocean, the nearest repair points would be its European bases, the most important being the Rota Naval Base. If they leave these bases, to repair their ships, they would have to cross the entire Indian and Pacific Oceans or the entire Mediterranean plus the Atlantic. Wars are lost due to logistics.........But don't listen to me, I don't know anything.

The sooner we recognize this hard truth—that there’s no military solution to the conflict with Iran—the better off the United States will be.
Sheer military force cannot reopen the Strait of Hormuz without escalating the war and sucking us into another endless, bloody quagmire that delivers zero benefit to our people.
We can’t get rid of the emboldened government in Tehran, regardless of how many leaders we kill. If we try we will end up with a government or failed state, worse than what we have now.
The inevitable reality is this: we will have to cut a deal with Iran. We can be pragmatic and do it now on our own terms, or we can keep listening to the same neocons and the Israeli government who got us into this mess, only to cut the same deal after we’ve lost even more.
Recognizing that we have hit the point of diminishing returns and pulling out now is not weakness. It is strength—and it’s the right thing to do for the American people.

NATO is a defensive alliance and is very specific in its intent and geographic scope. Trump was just being retarded by conflating NATO with Europe as a whole.
Trump is fair in his criticism that most of Europe bitched out over Iran. He is dead wrong in moronically conflating it with NATO. NATO has reason to be involved in Iran. Europe has a good reason to be involved in Iran.
Europe should have acted like Zelensky and seized the chance to leverage the Iran war for support from the US. Instead most of Europe threw a tantrum because orange man bad, acting like spoiled brats. Macron is a prime example of this spoiled entitlement.

On average colonization placed locals in a better position and more well off than before. While the Spanish and Portuguese were more brutal in their colonization that was less so with the British, French, Dutch, and especially the Germans.
