@KaterynaLis @2catsanddog @RepKiley If the bill is passed by the House and Senate and Trump vetoes it, that’s proof he is a Russian asset. Who says that? I, a conservative Republican who voted for Ronald Reagan, says that.

‼️BREAKING: A discharge petition to bring a Ukraine aid bill to the House floor has reportedly reached the 218 signatures needed. The final signature was added today by Rep. Kevin Kiley (R-CA-3) (@RepKiley ) on Wednesday, May 13. The resolution (H. Res. 518) would allow consideration of H.R. 2913, which authorizes support for Ukraine. H.R. 2913, the Ukraine Support Act of the 119th Congress (2025–2026), is a legislative proposal aimed at strengthening Ukraine’s defense, tightening sanctions against Russia, and securing the return of Ukrainian children abducted during the war. Introduced in April 2025, it authorizes up to $8 billion in loans for weapons procurement through FY2026. A discharge petition is a House procedure that allows a majority of members (218) to bypass committee leadership and force a bill to the floor for a vote. As with any bill, it must still pass both the House and Senate and be signed by the President before becoming law. MORE DETAILS ON H. Res. 518 👇 clerk.house.gov/DischargePetit… MORE DETAILS ON H.R. 2913 👇 congress.gov/bill/119th-con…

Ukrainian design studio YOD Group has won the international Hospitality Design Awards competition. The award went to a project of small houses for mental recovery, inspired by traditional Ukrainian houses. They are made from natural materials in calm, earthy tones. Large panoramic windows, minimalist interiors, and fireplaces create an atmosphere of peace and comfort. 📷: yod. group

@slantchev @Saturn71197768 The russian interlopers who take over those stolen apartments and houses deserve all the stress and anguish coming to them when Mariupol is finally reclaimed by Ukraine. Of course they’ll whine and cry like clueless idiots. When all russians pay a price, maybe they’ll learn.

The Russians are murderers and thieves. First, they wiped out what once was the thriving city of Mariupol, with a population of nearly half a million. The Uppsala conflict dataset currently has the total deaths there at up to 88,000 in under 3 months. We have satellite photos of the mass graves the Russians dug at the outskirts to hide their war crime. Now, they are sending these notices to property owners ordering them to vacate them within 3 days because no legal documents of their ownership exist (the Russians do not acknowledge the Ukrainian documents). Following the eviction, the property is turned over to new arrivals from Russia as the Kremlin is rapidly and systematically trying to repopulate the city with non-Ukrainians. Recent data shows that 75% of apartments in the city have been purchased by Russians, mostly from Moscow and Moscow oblast. It’s not just Putin’s war.
Pepel Klaasa@pepel_klaasa

I feel a deep urge to shove a piece of paper like this down the throat of everyone who says that things in Mariupol “aren’t so clear-cut.” Here’s what the owners of properties in Mariupol get now. I also know about the same in Berdyansk. “Russian Federation Donetsk People’s Republic ADMINISTRATION OF THE MARIUPOL CITY DISTRICT OF THE DONETSK PEOPLE’S REPUBLIC NOTICE The Administration of the Mariupol City District (hereinafter — the Administration), acting in the interests of the owner of the real estate property located at the following address (hereinafter — residential premises/apartment): [address handwritten] hereby notifies you of the following: Due to the absence of title documents for the specified real estate property, properly registered in accordance with the law, you are required within three working days to vacate the apartment and hand over the full set of keys to the residential premises to an authorized representative of the Administration. In the event of refusal to vacate or violation of the evacuation deadline from the specified residential premises, sanctions assumed by Article 19.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation, and Articles 139 and 330 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, may be applied against you. Notified: (signature) — (full name) — (date:)”

@JustinMcKenna @VGroysman Something must be wrong with your reading comprehension, because I don’t see how this glorifies Russia in any way. It honors the brave endurance and resistance of the people of Ukraine against all oppressors.

@VGroysman The fact that you would use her image to glorify Russia when it is committing genocide in Ukraine is frankly disgusting. 88,000 people murdered in just Mariupol in three months.

More than eight million Ukrainians were killed in the World War II, and in every Ukrainian family there is someone who fought the nazis, was killed by them, or saved others from the enemy. There are such stories in my family too. One of them is about my grandmother Roza, who was born in Romania and whom the war first brought to Chernivtsi, and then further across Ukraine. It was 1941. She was 20, and she ran barefoot from the nazis. The enemy caught up with a group of people near Khotyn and locked them in some creepy building. Every day, the nazis killed every fifth person. They would come and count in random order - first, second, third, fourth, fifth… the fifth would be taken to be shot. Each time, as they counted, my grandmother thought: this is it, now I will be the fifth… But somehow she was first, or second, or third. Later, the prisoners were driven towards Vinnytsia, killing those along the way who were too weak to walk. My grandmother survived. In one of the villages in the Bar district, local residents saved her - they hid and sheltered her, risking their own lives. At a time when fear and death ruled, there were people who were not afraid to remain humans. It was thanks to them that she lived. I learned this story as an adult - partly when I saw a video testimony of my grandmother among Holocaust survivors, recorded under an initiative of the Shoah Foundation established by Steven Spielberg, and partly from what my parents told. I was shocked, because my grandmother had never spoken about it… Back then, we believed such horrors would never happen again. We did not even want to imagine that evil could return to our land. That there could be war again. That men and women would once again take up arms, support the military, and defend their homes. That civilians - adults and children - would be killed. That Ukrainian cities would be occupied or taken down to ruins. Eighty-one years have passed. And today, on the Day of Remembrance and Victory over nazism in the World War II, we are not only recalling those who fought evil then - we are living in a time when we must confront a new enemy. Our soldiers carry this fight on their shoulders every day. In their resilience, anger, and determination lies a great strength that gives us confidence that we will endure. And that what we used to read in history books about the expulsion of the nazis from Ukraine will happen again in real life - and become part of the history of the 21st century. So that we can live in peace, in freedom, without fear. So that “never again” truly means: no one. never. again. On this Day of Remembrance and Victory over nazism, eternal memory to all who fought evil, and gratitude to those who defend life today.

Hegseth inadvertently makes clear that Trump wants Ukraine to be beaten. He is asked why Ukraine has done better than he expected last year, and he blames that on the armaments that Biden sent to Ukraine, and says that was an outcome Trump would never have allowed. In short, he is saying that Trump wanted to create a situation in which Ukraine would be defeated. Yes, he mentions peace talks, but he makes it clear that Trump means a peace favourable to Russia, forced on Ukraine through military defeat. (Video via @Maks_NAFO_FELLA)

@ShaunPinnerUA Should we also bomb🇷🇺’s nuclear industries because they contribute to the state budget? War is a descent into hell, terrorism, hatred, inhumanity (as in Dresden Febr 1945). Either we completely destroy the other side, or we examine the root causes of the war and find compromises

This video is framed as “about humanity,” but it quickly turns into something else. A woman in Tuapse says she can’t breathe after the oil terminal fires. She claims Ukrainians are commenting “you had it coming,” and insists ordinary Russians are just pawns caught in the middle. Then comes the appeal: “You have children too. Why are you doing this to us?” Let’s be clear. The facility burning in Tuapse isn’t random civilian infrastructure. It’s part of the oil export system that helps fund Russia’s war, the same war that has hit Ukrainian cities, homes, trains, and power grids for years, and displacing over 6 million people. Ukrainians didn’t start this, Vladimir Putin did. And from my own experience, having been tortured and held in captivity, I can tell you this, many Russians have been fed the line that this war is necessary and justified. Now it’s their own economy, their own infrastructure, and their own people feeling the consequences. So calling Ukrainians “brainwashed” while repeating state narratives is, frankly, absurd. This war continues for one reason: it is still being driven from the Kremlin. Until that changes, videos like this aren’t about humanity, they’re propaganda, and they’re doing exactly what they’re designed to do, provoke, divide, and deflect responsibility.
