I'm halfway through the @Quizizz Game Changer Certification and learning so much! I had no idea that I could spin a wheel to select student responders using Quizizz! 🎉 💜 quizizz.com/home/gamechang… #edtech #youcanwithquizizz @kyleniemis

@jandersonburgos @OccupyDemocrats We pull a diploma, and the student gets it after meeting with the principal. I agree that kids shouldn’t be punished for what their families do, but I disagree with letting kids dance across the stage for the reasons I already mentioned. And they were warned beforehand.

@AmyDecker_OG @OccupyDemocrats The work put in during classes for years is what earns a student their diploma. The notion that anyone would try to negate all of that because of a single act of celebration is outrageous.

BREAKING: A Philadelphia high school principal denies a diploma to a Muslim student who did a quick dance as she walked on stage to receive her diploma at her graduation.
But that’s not the worst part…
It all started when the 17-year-old student, Hafsah Abdur-Rahman, strutted across the stage to get her diploma, and she did a small dance in honor of her sister, who was recently murdered when she was only 14.
When she danced, some students and parents in the audience laughed, prompting the principal to deny the girl her diploma and “extend an arm implying she should return to her seat. The principal then dropped the diploma in a basket on the ground beside her,” leaving the girl “embarrassed.”
The worst part is that the principal and the school have refused to give the Muslim girl her diploma at all — even after the graduation ceremony.
The school district has launched an investigation into the incident and release a statement saying they it doesn’t “condone” the principal’s actions.

Please retweet and ❤️ if you think that the principal MUST be fired — and consider investing in Tribel, a “woke” new Twitter competitor that is currently doing a round of equity crowdfunding and just blew past $1.3 million raised from 3,100 of its users. If you want to own a small piece of what may be the “next big thing” in social media, here is the link to do so, wefunder.com/Tribel, and here is the link to download the new Tribel app that Elon Musk is so afraid of: tribel.app.link/okwPIHYCIqb

"Because concepts of race, culture, and identity are complex and deeply personal, they often bring feelings of discomfort," says educator @sheldoneakins. "Whether we address them in class or not, our students are thinking and talking about these issues." s3.amazonaws.com/teacher2teache…
