Logged into my work computer to start my work day, saw my Slack emoji was the meow-fiesta emoji with the status “US holiday, see y’all Tuesday!” or something similar, and turned my computer back off. Thank you, past self, for realizing I’d forget it was a holiday.

I woke up at a decent time, but I am unable to get out of bed.

@CrimeaArchivist I’ve always thought giving the answer to a problem in full was doing a disservice to the person. Like, sure, you’re “helping” this time, but they’re not really learning anything. I try to lean into sharing techniques for how to find the information.

I have adopted a light nudge pattern of "I think this can be better, have you tried X?" which sends the junior guys doing some light research, asking a few clarifying questions, and basically doing the intent without having it spelled out in full

Realized yesterday that I accidentally glued the head of one of my Skitarii on backward. It’s literally facing his back. Now I need to figure out a canonical reason why he would have his head on backward and not have it fixed. Is any of you into 40k? Do y’all have any ideas?

Managed to fumble my mini and break it, but the painting’s coming along

I have slept 4 hours/night for the last few nights. I haven't kept down solids or liquids in over 48 hours. I've lost four pounds. This is much cheaper than Chinese peptides.

I don't know why I scream when I vomit, but I do. I guess my abs clench so hard that my lungs empty. My stomach is forced out my mouth and it bungee jumps on my esophagus, inverted, until it has scraped itself "clean" on the toilet bowl.

@selentelechia I had no freaking idea until I brought it up to the husband and he was like “Maybe she thought you said ‘easy peasy Japanesey?’” But I didn’t even know that was a THING until he said that. It led me to spend the rest of my childhood weirdly terrified of uttering the phrase 😅

Last day of work for the year but I’m having trouble getting out of bed.

Went to a craft store with the husband for the first time since he started getting into 40K. Now he finally understands the danger of craft stores 🤣

I still cringe thinking about that time in a job interview that I said reading ECMAScript gave me a headache… only to discover my interviewer was one of the authors of ECMAScript.
