@KapitanoPants @WineGlassTatt Agreed, people are seriously losing their minds over it but its a long season and Riley barely had a preseason. Better to let him heat up properly in the VFL unless a spot fully swings open (ie Caleb Daniel injury) or he truly starts kicking the door down in the VFL.

There's a lot of chat about Hardeman, with people basically saying he's 1000% gone because he isn't getting senior games. Is there any actual rumbling from his management or is it Twitter just presuming he'll request a trade based on the fact he isn't playing senior footy and hasn't signed the new deal yet? I rate him highly and actually think his skill set translates better to AFL footy but aside from last week, he's been mediocre in the VFL. It was similar with Duursma in 2025. He's been good this season, but wasn't at that point deserving of senior games. In Riley's case, another good game against the Borough and a poor game for McDonald will give coaches some serious headaches.

@AnAxolotll @Aldersonaldo It's a good question Heeney's other arm is beginning to wrap around his waist, that's a tackle. The fact the ball comes clean out before he's held very long doesn't make it not a tackle. Had it just been punched out - no FK. But this is a tackle and thus HTB

@AnAxolotll @Aldersonaldo @hasumpstuffedup There’s nothing ‘formal’ in the rules that talks about the time the tackle needs to ‘stick’. It can be; - very brief, momentary or even immediately broken. But if you pay this one you must pay the Wardlaw/Heeney one. It suites the AFL to have the rules as ambiguous as possible.

@corza89_ Our defense is bad enough as is, I think we have to keep McDonald solely because he can actually defend. Rosas had 7 last week and barely a sniff today. -Daniel +Hardemenn is a huge upgrade from a defensive viewpoint

@kangamerchant Just probably needs a couple more weeks to adjust to the shoves he's going to continue to get before his jumps now defenders have figured out they've just got to push him. Noticed one where De Koning just shoved cooper early and he just wasnt ready for it

Trembath has had a tough couple of weeks, in my opinion needs to be the #1 forward target. Larkey leading to the cheer squad would be better off as the 2nd option I believe. Our forwards also need to stop all jumping at the same ball. And on Trembath - this tap was beautiful.

This might sound controversial (and a bit soft) but I think Edwards needs to be suspended for this. Not looking at the ball, running full tilt at a bloke going up for a mark is pretty dangerous. Yes it’s his first game but you can’t be doing that at AFL level.

The most underrated player for the past 2 years now on our list imo He has turned into a good lockdown defender Luke Parker has helped him go into that role I also think his kicking has improved he won’t be a grader but very solid
