@ImKingGinger it’s a stretch man. aside from this loose theory, there isn’t anything faith based in this film. dude has no family, the story has zero reference to God, he’s relationship is with an alien so and so forth

Lot’s of people are responding negatively to my analysis that Project Hail Mary is a Christian movie. Especially Christians. Faith Based Entertainment has spoon fed Church Slop to Christians for so long they don’t know how to do critical analysis of stories anymore. They can’t comprehend that a story about a man named Grace aboard a ship called Hail Mary who sacrifices his life to save humanity is a Christian story. Because nobody said a sinner’s prayer at the end and there wasn’t an altar call in the third act. Twenty years of Church Movies broke your brain. Faith Based entertainment has absolutely dumbed down Evangelicals.

It's very common for grieving family members to smile AT THE FUNERAL, let alone three months later. They smile when they remember happy moments with their loved one. They smile at the kindness shown to them by others. Or they smile for a thousand other reasons, because they're human beings, and humans are capable of experiencing a range of emotions on any given day. What do you expect? That she's going to only frown and cry every second of the day for the next 10 years? But then when she does cry you accuse her of faking that, too. It's almost like you're determined to hate this woman no matter what, for reasons that I can't possibly understand. It's sick. I'm tired of it. What the fuck is wrong with you people? Just waiting for any opportunity to dunk on a grieving widow. You sick freaks.
