Very few jobs for new graduates in engineering, chemistry, computer science, etc. Also - those salaries can’t afford homes like they used to now even in states like TX.

@KobeissiLetter Now do real graduates like engineers, geologist, dentists, lawyers, scientists, etc. Exclude woke women's studies, basket weaving, arts degrees, etc.

BREAKING: The inflation-adjusted average starting salary for college graduates is down -8% YoY, to ~$54,500, the lowest in at least 6 years. This marks the 4th consecutive annual decline. Salaries have plummeted -24% in real terms since the ~$71,000 peak seen in 2021. This comes as graduates are being pushed into lower-paying roles that often have little to do with their degree. The % of recent graduates whose first job aligns with their field of study has fallen from 26% for the 2022 cohort to 20% for the 2025 cohort. Young Americans are unable to find jobs.

@ChrisNowinski1 This is why my son isn't allowed to play FB. Student at our HS suffered a severe TBI during a game a few years ago, and is a quadriplegic and severely disabled. Looks like the culture hasn't changed. Very scary. More and more parents are saying no to FB.

@Swij2 Wish I had stuck around. I noticed the raise for bus drivers was 5% vs 3% for everyone else. I wonder if it's because due to Covid they're having staffing issues and trying to attract/retain drivers.
