@MKatungi @T_E_F_L_O_N I officially started supporting Afand in 2013 after Gen. Tinyefuza broke the silence. In fact, it's when I opened this account.
English

@T_E_F_L_O_N They think support started in 2018.Poor chaps, this started in 1994. Us we joined in 1996.

I remember being part of Revolutionary Guards meetings at Kisozi House in late 2018. Chairman Nzaire had started regional fireplace meetings before that. @MKatungi and others had started study groups way back during their campus days. But the new sitooko were just too loud.

Thank you for your opinion and insights. However, allow me to clarify: CDF Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba held his first public birthday celebration in 33 years in 2019 at Speke Resort in Munyonyo. Hon Kabanda, Hon Balaam, Hon Aber (CEC members) and I attended the event. This took place before the formation of the units you mentioned.

Fans of @KitarafcHoima have paid tribute to Hon. @EngJonard Asiimwe Akiiki for his unwavering support toward the club and the broader development of sports in the Bunyoro region.
The appreciation was expressed during a mini-function held at Royals Park Butema following a @FUFADrum Drum match between Bunyoro Province and West Nile Province, which ended in a 0–0 draw.

Gen,I think before concluding that Hon.Kabanda is being fought,it's prudent and important to first give those with greviances attention and you listen to them so that you get both sides of the story. You appointing him doesn't necessarily mean that he can't make mistakes while running the office of the Secretary General.
Thank you.

@DieHardWamkain1 @SSssebunya @MwesigyeFranks @BalaamBarugahar @mukigawamuhoozi @mkainerugaba Muhoozi project came first. I joined it is 2013.

@SSssebunya @MwesigyeFranks @BalaamBarugahar @mukigawamuhoozi @mkainerugaba I request for clarification about the MUHOOZI PROJECT and NRM Social Media Activists which group came first sir

This message is for all PLU social media activists & supporters
I’ve seen many people in my previous post in the comments claiming to be founding members of PLU🫢. At this rate, almost everyone believes they own PLU and in the near future, many will claim to have started or founded it. But let me share something that most of you may not know🤫.
Back in early 2016, we had a group called NRM-SOMA (NRM Social Media Activists). It was started by Ssebunya Shafique ( @SSssebunya). I was recruited in 2017 during my Senior Six vacation. He brought in many members, and special thanks go to the late Gen. Elly Tumwine, who allowed us to use Nommo Gallery as our meeting venue almost every Sunday.
All the founding members of NRM-SOMA know each other but they are no longer friends😁.
In 2017, during the constitutional amendment to remove the presidential age limit, we played a significant role. We even marched on foot from Parliament to State House to support and propose the amendment. Our core mission was to promote NRM achievements, President Museveni, and Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba.
In 2018, we held elections at Theatre La Bonita, where leaders were chosen through a secret ballot. I was elected National Coordinator in charge of Universities, I had just joined Ndejje University in my first year. At that time, everything was moving well, driven by patriotism and commitment. We also created sub-groups like NRM Patriotism Club and NRM Achievements, among others.
However, problems began in 2019 when internal divisions driven by selfish interests started to emerge. The same “divide and rule” tendencies we see affecting PLU today began to destroy us. Certain individuals took control of something they had not built. The final blow came in September 2019, when UGX 350 million was given to us to facilitate our activities. What followed were fights, criticism, betrayal, and indiscipline. The funds were mismanaged & stolen by Lukyamuzi John Mary and his close friends , and by November 2019, NRM-SOMA had completely collapsed.
Later, in 2020 during the COVID-19 lockdown, another group emerged,Friends of Muhoozi Kainerugaba started by Hon. Balaam Barugahara. The initial focus was to support vulnerable communities during the pandemic. Many of us, including myself, joined this effort. I personally walked daily from Kisasi to Ntinda to join colleagues at Balaam’s radio station, and together we distributed food (rice and beans) house to house across Kampala for nearly two months. This support came through Balaam on behalf of friends and supporters of Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba.
That group later evolved into Muhoozi Army, then MK Army in 2022, and eventually merged with other groups to form the MK Movement, now known as PLU.
When I get time, I will share more details about:
1: The founding members of NRM-SOMA
2: The early members who joined Balaam in Friends of Muhoozi
3: The first 15 members of Muhoozi Army
Now these should be Lessons for current PLU supporters:
1: Respect history and truth: Not everyone is a founder. Give credit to those who genuinely started and built these movements.
2: Avoid division and selfish interests. Internal conflicts destroyed NRM-SOMA; the same can destroy PLU if not addressed.
3: Handle resources with integrity because Mismanagement of funds can collapse even the strongest movements.
4: Stay disciplined and focused; Patriotism, unity, and purpose are what sustain a movement, not personal gain.
5: Build, don’t hijack, True leadership is about contributing, not taking over what others have created.
If we don’t learn from the past, we risk repeating the same mistakes.
