I finally solved the "dust balances spread across chains I don't use anymore" UI dilemma, all thanks to EIP-7702, Claude Code and Codex Let me explain in user-friendly terms How did I do this? I created a tool (that I named ZeroDust) to allow for transfers of ones 100% balance without leaving any small amounts behind How is this possible? Only possible thanks to EIP-7702, so this feature can be done on any chain that supports it (no reason for every chain to implement EIP-7702) Why EIP-7702? In simple terms, it allows for an external address to perform transactions on your behalf. I created a smart contract that lets you sweep your balance from chains or addresses you no longer use to another destination. The contract ensures a sponsor pays for gas for the transaction so that you can transfer 100% of the amount. The smart contract is still pending audit, so keep that in mind. for the full flow, I set up a sponsor that handles everything. the sponsor pays for gas, but it does so by charging you its cost so that it doesn't lose money by sponsoring these transactions so for example, if you transfer 0.0001 ETH and the current gas costs equal to roughly 0.000001 ETH, the sponsor will charge you 0.000001 ETH + 20% buffer to ensure the transaction goes through and in cases there are any spikes in gas between quoting and execution on top of this, I placed a "Service fee" for the tool, which charges 5% of total transferred with min cap $0.05 and max cap $0.50 The full flow would be: - User wants to transfer 0.001 ETH ($3 in this example) from Scroll to Base (cross-chain all possible thanks to @gasdotzip) - System (the sponsor) simulates the transaction, then provides estimates of costs: (The service fee and the network costs) - Total fees: 0.000056 ETH ($0.17 = $0.15 of service fee and $0.02 of network costs) so you would receive on the destination 0.000944 ETH - The goal of all this is that your balance on source is effectively 0 The only hurdle for this tool being fully live No wallet currently supports the address signing that allows for this interaction, why? because in practice, its risky; you are allowing someone else to move all your balance. That's why I forked @Rabby_io and implemented the necessary infrastructure into the wallet to test this full flow, and it worked. transaction hashes of 1 cross chain sweep I did: source: explorer.mode.network/tx/0x197b59ab4… destination: basescan.org/tx/0xa336c4198… I made a PR in Rabby's GitHub with the changes, it would be great if it received some attention github.com/RabbyHub/Rabby… All feedback regarding this is greatly appreciated!!

Day 19 of building apps until I earn $6K MR: I’d like to say I spent the day grinding making the other apps I want, but honestly I just spent most of the day running errands around the city I am happy I was able to submit the app last night for review, now only matter of time it gets reviewed and hopefully approved on the first one I think I have been rejected only once when submitting an app for review the first time, for this flashlight app I did once, because of spam; too many similar apps already The other time I was rejected was for an update for an app already live, and it was because I had updated the paywall, and they wanted a video navigating the paywall for some reason, once I recorded the video and sent it to them it got approved right away Besides that I haven’t been rejected, but I do expect to get more rejections the more complex apps I built and the more third party dependencies I integrate

Day 18 of building apps until I earn $6K MR have been focusing like crazy to get this app out was getting the ASC listing ready, and was actually going to submit it for review yesterday but I was traveling, had 6 hours on the train to make progress, but couldn't finish before I had to get off, so I decided I wouldn't go to sleep today until I actually submitted it for review I couldn't get much done throughout the day so I am spending late night to finish this off. this could've been finished 2 days ago but I had other things to handle in my life. this late night is making up for that going to sleep once this app is submitted, which is being done as I write

If you want your app to rank high organically, always monitor your app's crash rate data. To put things into perspective, I have released a buggy Play Store app version where 3-5% of devices started to crash. For my top ranked keywords my app fell from top 5 to low 10-15 in 2 days. Always monitor your apps!

@carlmonkft Did recurring revenue follow soon after that or did it take time to get the ball rolling after your first one?

@Ahmadullah_Faiz I don’t mention the name and talk more about the concept of it. Also I spent a lot of time in the subreddits and start building karma by replying there, doing 10-20 replies a day

@IndieBeaverHere Damn, nice So you built your own tool to track that? How do you handle app privacy declaration for your apps with it?

Day 17 of building apps until I earn $6K MR I have been heavily working on my other app, finishing the screenshots, researching keywords, etc I didn’t realise keyword research was such a big deal, it really has a lot to say for any app And while doing this I noticed all my other apps were doing horrible in terms of keywords, so there is a ton of room to improve Revenue hasn’t change a bit and its more worth updating those stats every few days instead of daily unless I start heavily pushing on marketing for any of my apps, but not for now

gave a look at the apps, all follow the same pattern: its either quizzes, courses guide, help for specific licenses/exams all the same but for each country/locale Same screenshot sets (localized to their corresponding language and area) actually very smart approach, just that anyone would notice its ai-slop. but at the same time, for someone that wants to find such an app for what they want, would they care? even if $5 MR on average across all the apps, its something, the maintenance is the only downside I'd say

@AndresDefi You have to set your prices right so that even if some users overspend, others pay it off.

Day 16 building apps until I earn $6K MR I wanted to reframe my goal since it makes it more tangible $6K MR would mean I could support my family, which is the main goal of all of this My current stats are: - 4 apps live on the App Store - 1 Active subscription (still the good friend of mine) - MR at $4 despite the increase on Revenue the last 28 days due to some one time sales on some of the apps - roughly 180 active users last 28 days (most come from one app only) I need to increase my MR by 1500x lol No marketing for any of the apps for now (I do think that is my biggest barrier so far) I struggle with leaving projects and focusing on others, and that oftentimes can be an issue because many projects are not worth the time, but I do believe that although I won’t make much profit from every app, most can serve a purpose. I will try to get out the basic stuff out as quick as possible and then tackle the other ones I want to dedicate more time to I know this is most likely the wrong strategy, but I feel like every app not build is a missed opportunity, of course there are the ones that have more potential than others I think I will also post updated metrics every 15 days since posting daily metrics isn’t so big when I have so low numbers

yes, I have been doing exactly that after I started using Astro, I noticed there was a huge gap in the use of my keywords for all markets despite relying on Claude for it I finished yesterday doing a sweep on my existing app's keywords and there was a ton to improve interestingly enough I also have gotten 2 sales in one week (not much but a ton for me compared to how I have been doing overall) which was a big surprise. I hope to see a bit more traffic for these apps these next few weeks. I want to start building apps that include infra costs so that a subscription is more defensible, but the main fear I have is users over-using the backend tools and all of a sudden I get a huge infra bill, whether a database or API usage, etc. how do you deal with that?

@AndresDefi Try to focus on 2nd tier markets as well if the tier 1 markets are too competetive
