The Jeff Bezos newspaper is working extremely hard to obscure the fact that modest tax increases in exchange for the elimination of all health insurance premiums would be a huge reduction in annual out-of-pocket expenses for almost every American. If you're paying slightly higher taxes in exchange for much larger savings generated from having zero health insurance premiums, you will have more money in your bank account. The number of people thinking: 1. People in the US get no vacation days 2. Social Security Doesn't pay for Healthcare in Europe and is separate from Income tax 3. That this post had anything to do with "vacation pay", which companies pay in addition to normal paid time off Has been amazing. The reality is that most people have absolutely no idea what tax's they pay or where the money goes.
