Watched a woman in the changing room at the gym hooking her bra behind her back. I'd been about to compliment her on her skills, but after an eternity I just wanted to shout, "HOOK IT AT THE FRONT AND SWIZZLE IT ROUND LIKE NORMAL PEOPLE!!!"

@CelestialFlea That rule applies to cyclists turning. Rule 76 Going straight ahead. If you are going straight ahead at a junction, you have priority over traffic waiting to turn into or out of the side road, unless road signs or markings indicate otherwise.

@defencewithac Cyclist is wholly at fault. There is no cycle lane and he is therefore undertaking. If he wants to pass a car that is clearly signalling it is turning left the law says he overtakes on the outside. If he was hit he wouldn't have a leg to stand on and would likely be charged

@JustineBrian @SSalyers2 >>2 Part of Charles title is "Defender of the Faith" So that will be the UK faith according to you. But its not, It's the Church of ENGLAND. There is nothing about Charlie's "monarchy" that has anything to do with "the UK" and even less to do with Scotland.

@JustineBrian @SSalyers2 So their are 2 crowns, therefore, 2 kingdoms. Charles was crowned not with a UK crown but with St Edward's Crown used to crown English kings since the 13th century. So he was crowned king of England. >> 2

Yep! Although the Scottish Crown *still* exists! That’s because the treaty was discarded; no new crown of Britain was attempted and the English coronation oath was “extended to Scotland ”!! ‘Extended to Scotland’, read that carefully. Not a new joint kingdom which requires a new joint crown. Englands crown extended *over* Scotland. A totally different and incompatible institution and with no agreement to make that legal. Because of this, Scotland’s Crown co tinted as a constitutional reality and Scotland remains a ‘sovereign territorial nation’ - a highly unusual though not unique status. The British Crown, so-called, is just the English crown. No single kingdom exists. Treaty void. But, then, in the relationship of annexer and annexed there’s no need for a *real* treaty - certainly not for a tyrant (literal meaning), to take the oath to the crown of an annexed people. And there you have the grim reality behind the myths and fables of the happy-clappy story of a partnership that never happened
Angry Pict@SymbolStones

Wow, that's quite some post! Just to take three of the conflations and inaccuracies: The Scottish National Party do not claim Scotland was colonised; attributing that to them is incorrect. 1603 was a personal union under James VI and I. The crowns were held by the same individual, but remained legally separate and constitutionally distinct, not merged into a single political entity. 1707 was a separate, contested settlement under pressure, not the inevitable outcome of 1603. Anne's Scottish coronation oath (1702) underscores that: she swore to "preserve and keep inviolate the rights... of the Crown of Scotland, neither shall we transfer nor alienate the same". That reflects a constitutional order in which the Scottish crown persists as a distinct entity up to 1 May 1707.

@JustineBrian @SSalyers2 Really! So what do you think he is touching here. Note, He doesn't get it put on his head (crowned) For that to happen he has to take the Scottish coronation oath and admit the people of Scotland are Sovereign, not him. Hebden Bridge is a beautiful place, full of subjects

@jan_siba @DanielM_W @crsanchezx I'm Scottish. Our free healthcare is pretty decent. Ranked 21st in the world. Covers all your prescriptions and because I retired to Spain, Ranked 10th, it covers all of my healthcare here too, including for my non European wife. The US is ranked 38th

@ManFromDeImonte @DanielM_W @crsanchezx I am sure it heavily depends on your carrier and position. US is not magical country for sure and we have a lot of issues. However I am happy I don't have to illegally bribe doctors to get care I paid for anyway like is common in countries with "free healthcare".To each their own

A lot of those people either chose not to get insurance (it is a free country you can screw up your own life) or are illegals. Opposite example: my dad in Czech needed MRI for cancer detection => 6 months waiting time => would be too late. I needed MRI for my knee in Texas, saw ortho on Monday and got it on Thursday same week (zero urgency btw). Pick your poison.

@DanielM_W @crsanchezx I am very happy with healthcare we are getting. The accesibility compesates the out of pocket cost, which is capped anyway. We are Europeans, we got to experience Europe's "free healthcare", we are happier bere.

While the price of virtually everything else skyrockets, the price of TVs remain weirdly low. Its almost like they don't want to price people out of the ability to be distracted, manipulated, and controlled. Anyone else notice that? Or is it just me?
