🇬🇧🇺🇸 On advice of His Majesty’s Government, and at the invitation of The President of the United States, The King and Queen will undertake a State Visit to the United States of America. Their Majesties’ programme will celebrate the historic connections and the modern bilateral relationship between the UK and the US, marking the 250th anniversary of American Independence.
🇧🇲 The King will continue to Bermuda to undertake His Majesty’s first Royal Visit as Monarch to a British Overseas Territory.

Development of Canada-Nordic Summit framework is an important development in an increasingly challenging world. Four of five Nordics are EU members and the fifth, Iceland, is moving in that direction. Ireland needs to reflect further on its relative lack of such frameworks.

Wat een dag. Straks staan we op het bordes voor de beëdiging. Trots om dit samen te mogen doen. In een nieuwe fase, met een grote verantwoordelijkheid en vooral een gezamenlijke belofte om ons in te zetten voor iedereen in Nederland. Door niet te blijven hangen in wat er misgaat, maar door te bouwen aan wat beter kan. Dat vraagt om lef én samenwerking. Op naar het bordes!

With @gidonsaar at the Board of Peace inaugural event, we discussed key issues for stability and security in the Middle East. Rebuilding Gaza and ensuring its socio-economic stability requires strong international effort-and Israel’s support is essential. Next steps include disarming Hamas, unhindered access for humanitarian aid and workers, and early recovery and reconstruction. Hamas will have no role in Gaza’s future governance. Working with the Palestinian Authority in implementing reforms and ensuring financial sustainability also requires collective action, including from Israel.

I took part today at the inaugural meeting of the Board of Peace, chaired by President Donald Trump. This initiative demonstrates the commitment of the United States to advance peace & stability in the #MiddleEast. As an observer state, Romania is ready to bring a substantial contribution to these efforts through an approach that combines humanitarian action with economic recovery & long-term reconstruction. We are ready to increase the number of evacuation flights from Gaza and to support rebuilding Gaza’s emergency response system, through training of professionals and donation of essential equipment. Over the last two years, we offered more than 110 scholarships for Palestinian students and we plan to upscale this number. Given our institutional expertise, we can also help rebuilding the institutional infrastructure like police, justice, public administration with our experts and trainers. Traditionally, Romania has good relations with the Jewish people and the Palestinian people and is fully committed to the efforts for a peaceful and prosperous Gaza Strip. @realDonaldTrump @BoardOfPeace
