@Boorish_Sports Vrabel is already in Arizona for the weekend NFL owners meetings. It just happened to coincide with ASU Pro Day.

So even though the Patriots already had a 30 visit with Max Iheanachor after the combine Vrabel still wanted to fly to Arizona to take some reps with him? We might be picking 28 instead of 31.

@ConquerSportsIO Most 1st rd edge rushers are off the board (in consensus of all mock drafts) by the time the Pats pick. They have to be ready for anything drafting at the end of the 1st rd. (Edge, tackle, WR, etc)

I think the Patriots go EDGE, but I'm a fan of Iheanachor. He's a little raw, but a ton of upside. Would provide great depth/insurance for this season, and could replace Moses next.
Carlos A. Lopez@LosTalksPats

In @nflnetwork analyst Charles Davis’ latest mock draft, he has the #Patriots selecting OT Max Iheanachor with the 31st pick. “Plenty of development lies ahead for Iheanachor, but the Patriots have to improve the pass protection...” Iheanachor played right tackle in college.

@PatriotsGlobal2 Current projections have him early 2nd rd/late 1st rd. Whatever info you read is probably old.

Max Iheabachor should be someone #Patriots fans have on their radar. 2nd-3rd round projection in the NFL Draft, he’s a pure RT and sits at 6;6 330lbs.

@NickCRadio Could he be out in Arizona for the owners meetings this weekend and took in ASU Pro Day? Or made a special trip just for ASU? Other than BC, haven't seen coverage of him at other schools

@msully5433 There's no guarantee Moses even plays next season. Offensive and D line are the most important positions (after QB) to winning. Take the tackle! They waited for guys later to develop (Wallace and Bryant). They are further along than a guy late in this draft. Neither is ready.

But with Moses still here, why can’t they draft one of these “non 100” guys (like that really even means anything” and just coach & develop him to take over next year…? A “guy” can be found in almost any round. They don’t need a Day 1 starter at OL.
98.5 The Sports Hub@985TheSportsHub

"If [the #Patriots ] do want a tackle, the thing about this draft is when you look at the projections right now, there's like five tackles expected to go in the first round...The next true tackle on the consensus projections is outside the top 100...it does kind of reflect that if you don't get one of those guys, you're really not getting a guy in this draft." @ZoandBertrand @RealAlexBarth 📷 USA Today Sports

An Offensive Lineman? I also remember the Pats supposedly being interested in Mike Evans and Rasheed Walker. I'll believe it when I see it.
Savage@Savageboston

REPORT per: @JasonLaCanfora The New England Patriots to be willing to move up in the first-round if necessary to secure an offensive lineman. “They’re going to be aggressive,” one general manager said. “They’ll move up if they have to.”

@NickCRadio @LO_patriots Most important positions they can improve are O line and Edge rusher. Thinking big picture and after QB the lines are the most important to SB winners. They still have a lot of holes to fill. They better nail this draft!

In the latest @LO_Patriots, we discuss why drafting an OT at #31 isn't necessarily a bad idea. However, if you draft Iheanachor at #31, he's not part of your starting five up front. It does NOTHING to help the Pats improve their pass pro in '26, unless there's an injury.
Carlos A. Lopez@LosTalksPats

Much respect to @danorlovsky7 for saying it with his chest. Time will tell which one is better, but it possible the football world might be too high on Mendoza as a No.1 overall pick and too low on Simpson as QB2 (2nd round). The truth lies somewhere in the middle with each QB.. Mendoza doesn’t have a lot of “take over the game” contests on his resume, but he does have a collection of franchise QB moments. He also played for a play designer who routinely scripted “winners” utilizing creative concepts. His IQ, toughness and “clutch” genes stand out as strengths, but he is more managerial than transcendent in his play, which is ok. It’s just not typical of some over viewed as QB1 or the No.1 player in the class. Simpson plays like a clinician from the pocket. His footwork and mechanics are polished, and he flashes plenty of precision in his play. However, his inexperience (15 starts) is a major red flag, based on recent history. Additionally, he lacks prototypical size, which makes his 2025 injuries raise durability concerns. With his slump at the end of season also raising red flags after a sizzling start, it is fair to wonder if he is a “flash in the pan” or a budding star who simply needs more time to develop. Considering how decision makers to judged harshly on the play of the QB (SEE: Vikings’ ex-GM), the team builder handing in the card with either name runs the risk of losing their job if the gamble doesn’t work out. That’s why the anonymous quotes and polls mean nothing unless they’re willing to hitch their jobs to their opinions..

@MJFromTheNS @tkyles39 He's been on a roster every year of his 5 year career. He's NOT a camp body. Camp bodies are just there for training camp with no intention by the team for them to make the roster.

@tkyles39 He’s a dart throw and a camp body for the most part. If he plays well enough to make the roster then it’s a good value depth signing. If he sucks? No harm no foul.

James Hudson gives the #Patriots the veteran swing tackle they needed without Vederian Lowe and Thayer Munford Hudson also overlapped with Mike Vrabel in Cleveland
Ian Rapoport@RapSheet

The #Patriots are signing OL James Hudson to a 1-year deal, source said, as the former #Giants OL will add depth.

@tkyles39 Went back and looked at Ourlads scouting report for him in the 2021 draft. Lots of skill and athleticism but very raw. Also, had a "nationally-known mental health issue" that contributed to his transfer from Mich St to Cincinnati. ourlads.com/nfldepthcharts…

If it came down to it, would you prefer a Wide receiver or edge rusher at 31 for the Patriots? Like Denzel Boston vs TJ Parker/Zion Young

When co-hosting with @GregABedard, he's mentioned a number of times wanting "glass eaters" on the O-Line. The Pats needed to improve the intensity and the nasty up front. This is from last August on the Giants site by @Dan_Salomone.

Auburn EDGE Keyron Crawford flashes a bunch. Explosive mover who can win high-side with swipe/chop/rip moves and beat over-setting OTs inside. Also saw him drop into coverage and play as the overhang. Versatile, pure speed off the edge, quick-twitch movements at 6-4, 253.

@Savageboston Sitting at #31 is the shitty side-effect of greatly over achieving thanks to the job Vrabel, the coaching staff and Drake Maye did. While not really having the talent most Super Bowl teams have. Harder job for personnel dept to find starters in this draft cause of it.

@LosTalksPats Have you ever read or heard of a "handshake deal" in the NFL? As an attorney, I'd have a hard time believing in a multi-billion dollar industry teams would have "handshake deals" of such impact.

If the #Patriots have a handshake agreement in place with the Eagles for AJ Brown, the way they maneuver the draft could be telling. How New England approaches the WR position would of course be the biggest indicator, but trading back for future picks would be notable as well.

@RealAlexBarth So projected Day 3 pick from lack of production? Cause with the Combine numbers you'd expect at least Day 2 IF he produced at Ole Miss.

Was actually watching De’Zhaun Stribling last night, and think there’s more to his game compared to where being projected right now. Good size, speed, and body control. Competitive blocker too On the older side (23) and doesn’t have massive production, but I like his skill set
Ryan Fowler@_RyanFowler_

Source: Ole Miss WR De’Zhaun Stribling has visits set up with both the Chicago Bears & New England Patriots. 6’2”, 207 ran 4.36 in Indy. Excellent vertical ability with legit juice after the catch.
