LOL now I got community notes for saying $1049 makes no sense when I can make a PC w/ nearly twice the performance (w/ controller) for less $! BTW, the last time I got notes was when I said the ASUS XBOX Ally X would not have backwards compatibility to XBOX Console games...✅

The world has not changed. Gabe has. If the Steam Machine was $800 or something, we could argue about if they were purely screwed by RAM prices...but at $1050 he's just planning his next yacht.

Have you ever played any of the games in the Tropico series? Terribly educational. If you need workers you increase immigration. However, if you dont build additional housing they build their own shacks and get mad. If only our politicians could be forced to play one of these games.

It remains astounding to me how renters and vulnerable people continue to be thrown under the bus in some quarters because its politically convenient to do so. Its amazing how standing with these people got me nice messages when ScoMo was PM & at times a torrent of abuse today.

Its funny watching these various Labor MP's delivering their personal responses to Pauline Hanson. Some of which are arguably own goals. You arent cutting through and your making the same mistake the Democrats made with Trump giving One Nation more and more free air time.

@rambunctiousgo3 That's a great point and you were so articulate. I have seen the light and will now vote for whomever you want me to.

@1mde5igner @friendlyjordies The federal government controls the demand for housing by setting immigration numbers. The majority of the fault for the current rental crisis falls at Albo's feet.

@AndrewInWestAus @friendlyjordies How does this have anything to do with Labor? Do you forget what happened in '20? Demand increased due to WFH and the bounceback in migration when borders opened back up. Construction costs went up because of Covid. The recent tax changes are focused on reducing this demand.

You guys cant just blame Gina for all this. Labor's poor governance and the LNP being an ineffectual opposition is what is leading to this. Labor/LNP will not be able to get supporters back unless they actually look into why they've jumped ship to PHON. Being dismissive and calling them dumb is pointless and if anything makes it less likely that they'll change their minds.

@AndrewInWestAus @friendlyjordies Maybe because A) a lot of people aren’t that smart and B) she gets shoved down their throat by the media. No coincidence that One Nation rose as soon as Gina stopped giving cash to the LNP and instead gave it to ON.

@PatrickGormanMP The rise of One Nation is literally due to the choices your party is making. It is literally your fault. This is not occurring in a vacuum. You should reduce immigration immediately and hold a plebiscite on population size. People do not support big Australia.

The Australian people are deeply practical. That’s why they want practical support like higher wages, lower taxes and stronger Medicare. That’s exactly what Labor stands for. Tune in to The Pulse Podcast to hear the full conversation. Available all places you would expect to find podcasts 🎧

@kirbs1245 @MurrayWatt Sure, just ignore the problems facing the nation. Ignore the discontent that is brewing up. They did that in America and they got two terms of Trump. Is that what you want to happen in Australia?

@MurrayWatt The rise of One Nation is literally due to the choices your party is making. It is literally your fault. This is not occurring in a vacuum. Maybe Labor and the LNP should reflect on why a significant proportion of the population is walking away from them.

Pauline Hanson showed her only plan for Australia is more division, more chaos and more cuts. It’s not the change Australia needs.

@AlboMP Whatever language you speak? If you're in Australia you should speak english. How can we even have a harmonious society where we all get along if we don't all speak the same language?

Diversity is a strength of modern Australia. And no matter what language you speak, or faith you practice - every Australian deserves to feel safe, respected and valued. Great to talk with locals in South East Melbourne today.
