Is this better than Gogo or Viasat? Yes. Is this worse than Starlink? Of course. Leo is so far behind Starlink, it's not even funny. SpaceX launched more Starlink Satellites into orbit THIS MONTH than Amazon Leo has ever launched. Now, I fully expect Amazon Leo to be increasing launch cadence, especially once New Glenn is flying more often, but by 2028, SpaceX should be launching new, updated Starlink satellites on Starship. In short, Leo may be a decent, even very good satellite constellation. But the chances of it ever catching up to Starlink are low.

Thank you to everyone for the birthday wishes, means more than you realize. I’m beyond blessed. We joked on PMT today about doing one of those 41 things I learned in my first 41 years of life threads. They’re dumb. But I do have 3 pieces of advice to share

One thing I’ve done in a couple spots is use Hue (or any Zigbee) bulb with the Lutron Aurora dimmer switch hooked together through the Hue hub. Mounts over a normal toggle switch to hold it in the on position, allows for easy dimming and on/off from the wall. Won’t allow changing of color temp from the wall but works great for us otherwise. Also has allowed us to split three fixtures that were previously on one switch into essentially two switches by using their wall mount and a normal face place to make a “switch” on the wall. And it works every time, battery replacement is years between on a standard CR2032.

Anyone have a “smart lights” flow they really like? Currently have Hue and don’t love the lag/occasional bugs/weird switches so probably moving to Lutron, but I *do* love how Hue changes color temperature over the course of the day. Anyone pair both smart bulbs and switch?

-9 here. Tried to engage FSD. Got this message. Never seen it before. I guess the car thought the brake was being pressed.?. Had to drive manually for about 5 min before I could engage again. There were no alerts.
