@AndrewBrandt Also, no outgoing 'owner' that the NFL can use to push their proposal.

No Tush Push proposal on the agenda for NFL owners' meetings. Remembering when there was so much angst and noise about it, and a close vote last year. I guess if the Eagles go far in the playoffs next year, we'll be back to it.

I still think if Chris Wood returns and scores 3-4 important goals, there’s teams above us we could catch. See you tomorrow.

When it is argued, in various football disputes, that points deductions must be imposed even for inadvertent breaches, in order to vindicate compliant clubs, one has to wonder whether that reflects a genuine commitment to consistent strict enforcement in all cases, or is simply a position adopted for the purposes of a particular case. Consistency is very important in sport - the lack of it can undermine public confidence in the integrity of the whole game. I do not comment on any one individual case, I just hope that those involved in the decision making processes can see the merit in treating each case according to its particular circumstances rather than being inflexible in some, but very flexible in others. That, I am sure, would help restore the confidence in sports arbitration we all wish for.

@pmwsdn @icecreamavfc @henrywinter That’s what all fans of clubs are asking for. All clubs submitted their accounts on time. Those who broke PSR got punished. Chelsea hid their illegal payments from their accounts and got a slap on the wrist.

@icecreamavfc @AndrewNewts @henrywinter Alright deduct West Ham too then, and also let other 19 clubs re-submit all their documents and co-operate fully in investigation. Come back when that consistency happens.

At some point, senior Premier League execs have to offer a proper explanation in public for their leniency towards Chelsea. They owe an explanation to fans of clubs punished more harshly. They owe an explanation to those clubs who did abide by the rules. They have to offer some explanation as to why PSR breaches are deemed far more serious than acts of "deception and concealment". Yes, these are the offences of a previous regime at Chelsea. But inconsistencies run through the PL's defence and their reputation is damaged. They can’t hide from a controversy of this magnitude.

@pmwsdn @icecreamavfc @henrywinter FA also hand out punishments. West Ham charge was completely different to Chelsea’s. West Ham’s was 3rd party ownership. So you can’t compare.

@pmwsdn @henrywinter Yea 2 men who know more about business and especially football business than we will ever will. Hilarious. What’s your rebuttal: Chelsea didn’t cheat because they told everyone they were already cheating and therefore it would be cheating if they were punished for cheating.

@AndrewNewts @henrywinter There was no sporting advantage. Chelsea had the money and paid the money. It was within limits of PSR rules. If all the other clubs re-submit all their documents, co-operate fully and come back squeaky clean with no irregularities, then I'll concede. Till then rest can shut up.

@pmwsdn @henrywinter Your whole argument is flawed. Everton and Forest got charged and punished for gaining a sporting advantage…exactly what Chelsea were charged with. That is what Henry is saying. Just because they didn’t break the PSR rules didn’t mean they didn’t break any rules.

@AndrewNewts @henrywinter What's the flaw? Rest got punished for breaking PSR, Chelsea didn't break PSR. Would they deduct points from Arsenal for missed penalty calls?
