Chelsea vs Everton — Defensive issues Against Everton, Rosenior tried to be more passive out of possession, perhaps due to the energy levels or perhaps in an attempt to simplify things and be more defensively sound ~ however, this backfired due to a series of errors ▫️Lack of pressure on the ball ~ more intent to get into shape (front line) but still with 5-10 yards between player and ball/opp ▫️Space between units ~ lack of organisation from on pitch leaders led to large spaces in a 4-4-2 block ~ especially between the front two and the midfield four (Moi & Lavia often late to step up and staying deeper) ▫️Profiles within the defensive structure ~ one issue for me was having Fofana & Hato as a CB pairing who both profile as “aggressors” ~ instinct to step UP, which compounded with the lack of pressure on the ball led to Everton’s first goal and a defensive imbalance

Ranieri is good, but if you get a Mourinho or Sir Alex then you don't need him. Just like Pellegrini was replaced by Pep. Rosenior is far from the best there.

If Chelsea played the whole season with an entire XI of Sunday league players, we’d lose every game regardless of who’s in charge BUT because it’s Chelsea I guarantee you some fans would say “but this is Chelsea, there must be SOMETHING the manager can do, results are awful”

Guus won too, so did RDM, so did Rafa even with more hate than what Rosenior has faced so far. We've outright handed him 6 yrs for nothing.

@pmwsdn @Mymind1900 @JohyanCruyff Yeh I agree but every manager learns on the job. You need to learn the players. Learn the league, opponent etc… Getting a manager mid season is never ideal. We got Tuchel and it worked since he fixed the main issue (defence). I agree that Rosenior should fix the issue for now

@spidagoats @Mymind1900 @JohyanCruyff Learning curve. It's why I didn't want Maresca as well. We shouldn't be stepping stones for managers where they learn their craft. We're supposed to be ones that benefit from them having done that elsewhere. Even among those we need the winners, not any Spurs lemon merchant.

@pmwsdn @Mymind1900 @JohyanCruyff We were 10 men against AMORIM United and lost There’s times where coaches mess up. We can go back to that but managers that win trophies are hard to find and none would come to the club. I would rather have a project manager like Maresca or maybe even Liam.

Chelsea used to hire managers that had trophies in their bag (Sarri the only exception). Think we need to go back to that.

Not so far back we dominated likes of PSG and Barca. So while the squad isn't it, there's buttons that can be pushed in better ways.

No signs on pitch which shows the team has overall grown better under him. If the squad is bad then the least you need is a top coach.

Look at your team, your style of Play, and look at the players you have in those positions... especially your wings, they can't take on 1v1 and etc.

As much as i don't want to see Chelsea lose (even though im numb to it now anyway), the only way to get rid of these sporting directors may be to miss out on UCL. Short term pain for long term gain. Personally, i dont see us getting UEL either. We are a hot f-ing mess under Rosenior.
