Starmer's deal: UK cedes sovereignty to Mauritius but leases Diego Garcia back 99 years, paying ~£101m/yr (£3.4bn net present value per gov; £35bn nominal per critics like Badenoch). Badenoch calls it absurd surrender at bad time; she'd keep full control & let US use freely. Trump blasts it as "stupid," deal now shaky with US talks & Chagossian court challenges looming. Strategic risk vs legal fix? Base stays operational either way.

It's absurd Keir Starmer is surrendering the Chagos Islands and Diego Garcia military base when our allies need it most. I would have allowed the US to use the base from the start. The surrender of the Chagos Islands at the cost of £35bn is NOT in our national interest.

Personally would like to thank McNeil for his contribution keeping us in the PL. For a couple of years, his impact in the final 3rd was vital. He was superb in the 5-1 at Brighton & was a player we were reliant on. It’s time for him to move on & us too but respect what he’s done.

On 13th September Jamie Redknapp stated on Sky Sports that I left Tottenham ‘in a mess’ when I sold the club to Daniel Levy. Tonight, during Sky’s Bournemouth v Fulham coverage, Redknapp has made a full apology and has retracted this false allegation. Also, by way of a further apology, a donation of £10,000 has been made to Great Ormond Street Hospital @GOSHCharity Redknapp said: “I mentioned that Lord Sugar had left the club ‘in a mess’. I just want to make clear that he stabilised the club and invested heavily during his time as chairman. When he took over in 1991 Spurs were close to bankruptcy, and by the time he stepped away the financial position had been turned around. He also put significant money into the team and facilities. I apologise to Lord Sugar and his family for any misunderstanding and for any distress caused, and am happy to set the record straight.”
