Every Christian American believes that the US government is entitled to lie to hostile countries about its military plans and capabilities (e.g., about where its troops are located, about how many missiles it has). Does this mean that individual Christian Americans believe they are entitled to lie to individuals from hostile countries (e.g., China, Russia, Iran) about matters like their religious beliefs, or lie and defraud them in contracts? Christian Americans would be outraged if Muslims spread such insulting deceptions about them. Yet many Christian American preachers and pundits do exactly this when it comes to Muslims.
