Sony will shut down this studio.
Destiny won't have a team to make another game, Marathon is already dead, and no projects are green lit.
Generational fumble by both publisher and studio. The only possible upside of this is that PlayStation stays out of live service forever.

Linus is completely out of touch.
PS5 will be a graveyard soon, with no access to the vast majority of games out there, while the Steam Machine will be able to run the latest indie games for a decade.
buy game on PS5, rebuy on PS6... or play your entire existing Steam library.

It's wild to me that people don't understand why someone would want the Steam Machine. IMO:
- No Windows driver BS
- Couch gaming FTW
- Steam games get steeply discounted & more frequently than console games
- Future integrations with Deck & Frame

I keep seeing people complain about the price, so I’m throwing in my two cents:
I dunno if you knew this, but..
IT IS A PC!!
It’s not a console, it’s far more powerful than that, and far cheaper than literally most pre-built gaming PCs. Hecc, it’s about $200 cheaper than what my hand-built was, and that PC’s 7 years old now! Plus, the Steam Machine can literally be used like a PC, which is incredible!
So
TL;DR
It’s a super affordable PC that’s roughly the size of the GameCube (if not smaller), not an overpriced console. If you say otherwise, I’m gonna cry I swear.
Also: it not including a controller? Yeah, because it’s a PC and (presumably) assumes you have a mouse and keyboard already and maybe a controller. Don’t have a controller but want to play with one? Go to Goodwill and get a wired Logitech one for like $12, it’ll treat you well I promise.
That’s my rant for the year, love y’all 💖🥰

Honestly when you consider the PS5 Pro costs $150 less, it's not that as bad as I was expecting.
Free online, cheaper games and the having the utility of a PC, it's not atrocious...

@Andrewmeda11 @jester_mango As someone with thousands of hours in both, they’re not even remotely close. They’re both sci-fi looter shooters, and that’s about where the similarities end. The gameplay and overall feel of each game is completely different. I love them both, but wf could never replace Destiny.
