@GWHayduke97 Also, this map is a bit off! Southern Spain (Andalusia & Murcia) consistently hits 3,000–3,300+ hours of sunshine a year. Cities like Huelva and Alicante are the real sun kings of Europe. Don't do the Costa de la Luz dirty like that!

@GWHayduke97 Typical American, we get way more hours of sunlight. During summer, how is it 22:00–23:00 and still light outside? 😂 not mentioning those parts in the north have no darkness during the summer months. From end of may till end of July 😂

It genuinely breaks my brain to imagine what 1400 hours of annual sunshine must be like to live in. When going to college in Chicago, I really struggled with the seemingly endless gray of the winters. Chicago gets 2500 sunshine hours!

@jen_galvinized @zchess1408 @GWHayduke97 Even if there aren’t that many actual sunshine hours, the extended daylight still makes for some pretty epic summers. Makes you appreciate those long summer nights even more after getting through the darker days.

@AndromedaM31_ Reading comprehension. This is sunshine hours, not daylight hours. It's measuring how many hours per year sunlight reaches the ground without being blocked by clouds.
